Default Omas paragon leaking into the cap

I have an old omas paragon that whenever I cap it and after a while I open it, I will see little bit of ink collect near the round section where the nib screws into the barrel. After a while there will be so much ink that it will collect in the cap. Is this normal ? I have asked some pen restorers and they say that this is normal for a direct feed pen. I feel strange though because my other OMAS (D-Day) with a normal nib does not seem to exhibit this behavior.
