    Default Awesomeness on FPGeeks

I wanted to start a new thread giving a platform to celebrate the community: the site, its members, and acts of kindness.

I appreciate the people on this forum much more than my interactions on FPN. I wanted to thank Jon Szanto and FredRyder for their constant presence and comments on this forum. Additionally, I find Chrissy's ink reviews to be superb and something I look forward to reading.

I don't always agree with everyone, especially Ptero's definition what constitutes a flex pen vs a nail, but I love his art posts and respect his opinions. Don't leave us!

There are so many people here that I appreciate. Why not share your own thoughts?

Thank you and I am in agreement. I also like Jon's and Fred's and other folks' comments, the fact that folks can say what they think, and I love Chrissie's ink reviews (BUT I just want her to send me one bottle of each every time she does a review, because . . . I want every one).
I have also been enjoying folks' artwork, stories, poems, and calligraphy that makes me envious.
I have also purchased some pens form some nice folks here.
    Thanks, dfo

There is a lot of cool people in this forum.

Thank you Daniel (dfo) for your sincerity and the Open letter that started the revolution (no, don't search that thread, lest Fred will haunt you).

Jon Szanto, Fred, Jar and Farmboy for the laughs and presence.

AltecGreen for steady announcements on the Bay Area pen gatherings, albeit sans gathering photos, pen photos, mountain photos, bay area photos, any photos whatsoever... and I happen to know that AltecGreen is a good photographer.

Deb, SIR, Chrissy and the whole British members.

Chrissy and now migo for ink reviews that even an ink prude like me can enjoy!

AzJon. The other Jon that share quite a few thought-frequencies.

    VertOlive. One of THE SEVEN.

mhosea for infrequent but always insightful posts.

Sailor Kenshin, Ptero, Marsilius, snowbear, and the rest of the sketcher gang.

I've enjoyed this community for quite a few years. It's the only place I go to to talk about pens. I echo the comments above about the regulars here. Though I hardly ever buy ink I love Chrissy's reviews.

We're like a family. We have our occasional spats but we get over them and go forward together.

I don't participate much, ergo I am very grateful to all those who do it in an informative, and positive way.

    Thank you.

I am quite glad with this new flame that seems to have been ignited by the SEVEN. I shall try do bring my constructive participation, too.

So I've spent some time on two other forums (FPN and Reddit), and found both to be lacking true warmth and kinship over this somewhat obscure hobby. People here are very open and willing to learn. We may have our occasional squabbles, but rarely does it get to the point of someone being called "stupid" for simply disagreeing with someone, especially for doing nothing more than to edify the masses on the connotations of idioms when used in reference to this hobby.

I especially appreciate Sammyo for hooking me into this hobby.
Chrissy for showing us how to properly do ink reviews.
Laura for being a kind, generous person, and getting us hooked on blind testing and guessing inks.
Everyone still playing "Guess the Ink", and putting up with my sad writing samples taken in poor lighting! (and not calling me out on it every time!)

And definitely the other half, Scooby921. Instead of asking me why I started this hobby, he spent an entire weekend researching the crap out of it and then joining me Hooray for not needing to justify my spending
