    Default Got a Grail pen

Platinum 3776 Century. It may not be the most expensive pen but it was on my list of pens to buy so I decided to get myself an early Christmas present. I just opened the package so I still need to ink it up.

Very nice! I hope you enjoy writing with the pen. What nib did you go choose?

You will not be disappointed. I have the Chartres Blue which is one of the most beautiful pens I own. It has never skipped, never hard start, just smooth and lovely great writer. The bonus is that it never dries out. It sometimes goes weeks without being used but as soon as the cap comes off it writes. I love, love this pen. Congratulations! It is one of the best pen purchases I've ever made. I have the medium nib, which is slightly narrower than an American medium, but it wrote perfectly out of the box, needed no adjustment at all.

Ive had a burgundy version for several months and I love it! I have the soft fine nib and it's a real pleasure to write with.

I have a good few Platinum 3776s now, but I find they can be choosy about ink with a tendency to write too dry if I pick the wrong ink. So if you don't get on at first try swapping inks, it can make all the difference.

Congrats on your quest and the pen. Just remember, there can only be one grail.

My grail-pen is elusive and I will probably never attained it.

In my opinion, that is a great pen. Reliable, great writer, classic looks... one of my favourites.

The Platinum 3776 Century is a lovely pen! Is it a grail? Not sure as that is a subjective preference, but I can say that these pens never seem to disappoint.

And they are really pretty pens!
