Any suggestions? I was thinking they could be recycled, but I don't see the recycling triangle anywhere on the vials.

I always clean them out and then re-use them for sending samples to other fountain pen users. I'm sure there are many people like me who need them.

You could put them on here as a PIF in the PIF section.

Yup. Or putting ink in them to fill from otherwise unfriendly bottles. Or storing nibs. Or creating and storing DIY ink mixes so as to find out they explode before you put them in a pen.

Maybe send them to people doing ink sample PIFs.

I'll take them for re-use if you don't want them.

I carry meds I need to take when I will not be home when. It slips in my pocket real well. Also, I have small cotton balls to keep the pills from rattling around.

...handy containers they are! Do not underestimate the value of the sample vial! (giving ink samples, ideal traveling companions to eyedropper pens - you don't even need an eyedropper, can hold extra nibs, cleaning fluid etc. ...)

I keep nibs in some. The vials that aren't sitting around waiting to be refilled.

Or maybe fill with water to coax hard starters.
My other pen is a Montblanc.

After rinsing, I mail my accumulated empties to friends in the pen community who post a lot of ink reviews. It takes a couple years before I have enough to justify the postage.

Thanks for the tips. I may look into doing the PIF thing once I have a large enough number of them to make the postage worth it.

I'm in need of sample vials. I feel like arranging another continuation of Laura's "Mystery Ink" series, but I need sample vials into which I can load ink and ship out for people to try. Anyone have any they want to get rid of? I can send you a couple dollars to cover shipping costs, or just automatically add you to the list to receive a vial of mystery ink.
