Due For A Change
Hi,
I'm a restorer more than a collector (though I do hang onto a few pens) and have been for a few years. My main interest is in British pens but I see a lot of American and European pens as well. I posted in FPN as red52ripple for a few years but after the recent outbreak of undeserved bans and inexplicable censoring of posts I'm out of there. Looking forward to good discussion here.

You will find many asylum seekers from FPN here, as well as many that chose FPG in the first place instead. FPN will probably still be part of my life (if the site is ever on line again) but this Geek world is a very pleasant place to be; I think you will like it here.

Welcome! You will find the folks here at the FP Geeks really great, friendly, and a fun site!
People here look out for each other, and there is no "high five" given behind your back by moderators in a show of rejoicing when they put you on suspension if you did a minor infraction of some sort. Believe me, I can't tell you how many times I have been "slapped" on the "other" site for something I did incorrectly!

Good to see you on here as well. I'd noticed you hadn't seemed to be posting often on t'other place recently but your blog updates are always interesting. I pointed a colleague your way a few months ago when he was after a Conway Stewart and he was most pleased with his purchase.

I'd been in FPN for quite a long while - around seven years - but I was always aware of the strange situation in the Conway Stewart forum and the occasional bannings and disappearing posts, so I was never really comfortable there. This last outbreak of unpleasantness was too much for me and I won't be posting there again.
I'm glad you like the blog and I'm pleased to hear your friend is happy with his Conway Stewart.
