Pelikano design flaw?

My beloved Pelikano medium pen has what for me, at least, has turned out to be a design flaw. The triangularly sculpted finger grip section has ridges to help with grip, but only for the index finger. IMO there should be some on the side for the thumb. As it stands, it gives the unpleasant sensation that the thumb is slipping. I wonder if the Pelikano Junior models have the same problem.

Hardly a design flaw it seems. It may well be a feature you do not like but calling it a flaw is just silly.

Oh yes absolutely - hence I said for me at least it was a design flaw.

I wonder if other Pelikan pens have the same flaw? Most of the rubber grip sections I see are the same texture on all sides, so maybe that's what is throwing me, since this one doesn't.
