    Default Shaffer statesman repair help.

I have a good used statesman. The end of the pen came off when unscrewing to ink it. It does not go on tight it just twists. once off I can pull the screw tip to pull out the fill tube but trying to put on the tip seems to be stripped. I would think a bit of JB Weld would hold it on tight making sure none gets on the threads that screw into the pen body. Anyone else have this issue?
