Removing stuck j bar
I was working on a pen and set it aside for a while then came back to it last night. I thought I removed the old j bar to replace it with a new one. However I didn't and I inserted a new one now I think they are tangled up and I can't seem to get them out. Any suggestions ?

Re: Removing stuck j bar
Pour some talc in the barrel, that will lessen the friction between anything in there including the tangled up J-bars.
Then fish it out using a dental tool that has a flat/skinny hook at the end.
I don't know anything else to suggest other than be patience and don't get frustrated.

Re: Removing stuck j bar
Small forceps are useful for working inside barrels and they dion't cost much.

You could become the first pen repairer that uses a borescope. Hey, they cost less than a lot of pens, especially if you use a smartphone. And you can share images of the tangled mess with us!
