    Default Penpal Emporium.

Hi Everyone, mods feel free to move this.
I have searched the forums for a thread dedicated to penpals or a sticky but I have been unable to find one so I thought I'd start one of my own in the hope that it'll catch on.

    So here goes.

I'm a 42 year old man, currently growing a beard, into Deep Sea Fishing, reading, music especially Blues, writing, vintage fountain pens, ornitholgy, cycling, countryside & nature, as well as food, cooking, wines, ales and traditional pubs with character .
I'd like to correspond with a man or woman of similar age and interests who would, if they had a television unlike me, rather watch the darts or rugby than the soccer or the snooker.
PM me if your'e interested in exchanging a letter or two each month discussing life the universe and everything.

David regardless of all this helpfulness, I have to ask...

Which rugby goes with darts, and which with soccer*? Union, or League?†

    *Association Football.
† Americans may want to walk away now before they become confused

Well I've played both in my time but it should have read soccer and snooker.
As for what the Americans call football it's a game of Rugby played in crash hats and shoulder pads as far as I can see.

Ah, I feared it was probably a typo and not some fascinating tale of how you came to have a deep-rooted hatred for one over an abiding love for the other.

I just have. It's in February. One missive a day is quite a challenge.

But quite doable. Of course, my goal is to get 28 letters out, not necessarily 1 per day.

I just send out as many letters as I want, and if I don't make 28 or one per day it doesn't matter.
