I spotted something about it yesterday, and now I wonder if it might be Levenger Cobalt Blue?

I looked at Levenger blue in an old review, and the sheen doesn't show in the photos.

    Aaak! I'm shocked, shocked....!

"Shocking Blue is the single most popular color of blue in the entire Akkerman line of inks. It boasts a rich sapphire hue and has wonderful shading properties with a rich red sheen. Number five is absolutely a professionally appropriate color and just a beautiful color of blue all around." In any event, it is SOLD OUT.

Thank you, Scooby, for introducing me to this very cool color.

If you're looking to find / buy a bottle I know Anderson Pens sells Akkerman as well. That's where I bought my bottle. It usually out of stock as well, but they have a "notify me" option. I waited, got the email notice that it was back in stock, and quickly jumped online to buy a bottle.

That was a fun read, I might volunteer when you do mystery ink 15 if you don't mind a sketch for the review, my handwriting is atrocious!

Therefore if we assume that Akkerman inks are made by Diamine then this could be Majestic Blue???

Well, it was my first akkerman and first mystery ink experience. It was exciting to use such gorgeous ink without knowing anything about it. Thanks Scooby, looking forward to next one!

Absolutely! And fear not about your handwriting. These Mystery Ink threads are about evaluating a random unknown ink in whatever way you choose. The handwriting threads are in a different sub-forum . In fact, using it to sketch vs. write will likely be a welcome variation in evaluating an ink. So yes, keep an eye out for when MI #15 goes live and throw your name in the hat.

Scooby, what is that tape you use to seal the vials?

The color is lovely. I had a sample of this ink a good while back. Sadly it hard started for me, and I just didn't want to deal with it. It is a gorgeous color though, and very sheeny!

I can tell you this. We've already had PM's about this tape.

    It's Scotch 70 self-fusing silicone tape

Sometimes it's available on ebay for a lower price, and it's old stock. I assume it might still work though as there appears to be no use-by date on the packs.

Yup. An alternative would be the base 3M rubber tape (not silicone). It's a bit thicker, but it's still self-fusing and leaves behind little to no mess.

I use standard electrical tape to seal my bottles for posting. Always works well, peals off easily, is widely available and is very inexpensive.

Unless you get certain liquids on the electrical tape.
Most automotive fluids will turn the adhesive into a nasty, dark, gooey mess.
Heat above its rating will also turn the adhesive into tar. Hell, if you leave it on something long enough, you get tar.
