    Default Pelikan M800 Red Stripe

    PRICE REDUCED!

The Pelikan M800 in red stripe was discontinued a couple of years ago and has largely disappeared from the market since then. People hate when anyone calls a pen like this "rare" so I won't do that. I'll simply ask you when was the last time you saw one for sale?

This piece has a two chick nib and cap. The 18K gold nib is an Extra Fine and a writing sample is included with the pictures below. Note that Pelikan has just announced a $50 upcharge for EF nibs! If you like the pen but not the nib size, I may be able to switch it with other two chick nibs I have. Let me know what you prefer.

The piston was a bit stiff on this pen when I got it, but I have had it lubricated with pure silicon grease and now it is smooth as silk. I do not have the box but can supply one from one of my other 800's if that is important to you

PRICE REDUCED to $695 plus $19 Priority Insured shipping within US

Shipment outside US may be available at cost. Please inquire.

About January of last year the Seller sent me a pic of his favorite pens and the Red Pelikan m800 was among them... I still can't believe he has decided to sell it!!!! Just a pity I can't afford it! Otherwise, I second the compliment to witchwatch, a stellar seller indeed! Best of luck with the sale!

Pelikan's nibs and caps feature a design showing a Pelikan in a nest with one or more chicks in the nest. The number of chicks in the nest has changed over time, allowing one to assign a date range to when the pen was produced.

Note in the picture that the two chick nib uses two small lines to represent the chicks, while the one chick design uses a "full" chick outline.
