So, if money was no object (yeah right...) what is the ONE pen you would get?

I'm looking for inspiration, and possible ideas/direction I haven't thought of.
Plus, it's nice to know what peeps rate and think are great pens

I've owned and handled so many really nice pens, and expensive pens that I've come to realize that they're just.... pens, no matter how fancy. It all comes down to the nib, and I have some dream writers on relatively inexpensive pens that no really expensive one has matched. Having said that though, I've conclude that I wouldn't mind owning a MB 146 with a really nice, clean XF line, or one of the larger Pelikan Toledos.

As I scan these posts I see some, like the Cleo Skribent Ebonite which I would actually like, if the money didn't matter. But I also realize that if I really, really, wanted to have it, I could actually buy that one. However here is one that I would like where affordability is not actually the problem. The "original" Waterman, of which none have yet to be found.

A toss-up between a Pelikan Spirit of Gaudi or a vintage Pelikan Toledo.

Or a Stylo Art or ... what's that maki-e artist's name in Tokyo? Bokumondoh.

It is mentioned here before, my first pick would be a Hakase buffalo horn / tortoise shell. But the import is the additional non-financial hurdle. So a Namiki Emperor Owl please.

I would select one of the beautifully crafted silver Yard of Led range, probably their largest pen, with abroad nib! Nice to dream isn't it

This reminds me of those times where you are told "order anything on the menu". Somehow I always goof it up and order something that isn't what I really wanted, or misunderstand the offer. I have ordered the lobster (which I don't like well enough to spend my money on), then watched the person squirm and order soup and a half sandwich. I have ordered the half sandwich and watched someone squirm in ecstasy as they ate their lobster. I have even tried the Egalitarian approach and said "I'll have what he is having" which seemed to steal the gesture of offering to elevate me for a special day. It also resulted in my having to choke down some food of "acquired taste". What does this have to do with pens? I don't know, other than it is probably as close as I can get to the idea of the "if money were no object" concept. I find that money often finds it way in there, somewhere.

That said, if I win a lottery where the prize is any pen that I would like, I wouldn't mind some old vintage pen with a pedigree. Einstein's old MC^2 Waterman's or something.

For me its Nakaya sumiko spider and the web. A personal taste as my liking for spiders and there nature in general. Would go with Medium nib for daily use.

It makes me wonder though I never really have seen anyone with this pen.....

Now you don't have to write anything to get stable money. You can have a computer that will bring you a much higher income. For example, I always wanted to grow in journalism, and as the pandemic appeared, I think most of them switched to computers, and in time everyone will forget to write with a pen or pencil. In the pandemic, it wasn't elementary to earn money because many people started writing different articles. That's why I decided not to complicate myself and look for make 1000 a month because it never hurts. And so I doubled my usual salary, staying at home.
