That is an interesting one. I actually took the time and thought about this one. Obviously, if the money weren't a problem, I would have had a collection of them. If I had to choose one, I would most probably aim for something vintage. I would buy the biggest, cleanest Parker Vacuumatic money could buy. Or a new, lovingly restored Waterman 100-year pen. Or one of the rarer, cleaner Sheaffer Balance Premier pens. I got inspired budget printables and actually set as one of my financial goals to purchase one. I will let you know once I do.

Any pen, money not an issue? Oddly enough I would only be interest in trying out the major luxury players regular offerings - MB149, Pelikan M800/1000, Aurora 88, Visconti HS and so on. I would just like to try them out to see what the fuss is about, if any. Other models at higher prices are - to me at least- more or less the same but with more gilt. I have zero interest in pens that are more art than pen.
I’ve never made the price a consideration.
Parker 51, midnight blue aerometric, US medium nib tuned by Greg Minuskin. I have that pen, and use it every day.

No experience with a 51after 1942.
This penguin that FredRydr once had. I would love him and pet him and squeeze him and call him George.
M: I came here for a good argument.
A: No you didn't; no, you came here for an argument.
M: An argument isn't just contradiction.
A: It can be.
M: No it can't. An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition.
A: No it isn't.
M: Yes it is! It's not just contradiction.
A: Look, if I argue with you, I must take up a contrary position.
M: Yes, but that's not just saying 'No it isn't.'
A: Yes it is!
M: No it isn't!

Now that would be silly, Fred already has a name!
I have a crane, probably by the same manufacturer, and I wouldn't give him up for the world. I got him on Ebay.

That is super pretty, but gives me fountain in Scarface vibes. Actually no, it’s the Unisphere that I was thinking of.

There's a few pens I'd like: The vintage maki-e from Eurobox I've had my eye on; a Conway Stewart Seamus Heaney; a Nakaya Toki-tamenuri; either a Houju or Natsume from Eboya; and a custom (beskpoke) from Hakase.

Eisenhower “51” set
I’m becoming more and more convinced that Ike was the last truly good and honest man.
And i love “51”s. Add those together? Yeah. An Eisenhower “51” set.
I understand that the thread is from 5 years ago, but the joy of receiving a special gift like a fountain pen never really goes out of style. While the discussion may have taken place years ago, the timeless appeal of fine writing instruments and the desire to explore unique avenues for leisure and entertainment remain relevant.
If you're still interested in fountain pens or if you've already enjoyed your special gift, you might also want to revisit the idea of exploring games for money. These games have continued to evolve and offer exciting opportunities for entertainment and potential rewards.
