Default Rod of Tibaldi Impero Celluloid

    Hello!

Up for sale is a rod of one of the rarest and most coveted materials in the pen world, Tibaldi Impero. This is right up there with materials like Arco, and finding a rod of Tibaldi is practically impossible since the company went out of business many years ago.

The rod is 5/8" in diameter, and just under 23" in length, enough for a pen maker to turn two full pens from.

Due to the incredible rarity of the material, my asking price is $950. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Impero makes an awfully nice looking pen, like this Oldwin I bought directly from Morastylos.

The photo is needed for proof that OP has the rod.

The above photo of the Oldwin (made from a genuine Tibaldi Impero rod) is the only photo anybody needs!
Who's going to make you a "custom" pen more beautiful than that one????

Emailed the OP and he said it was already sold, so don’t expect a pic any time soon.

Never thought I’d see someone selling a rod for more than a beautiful pen of the same material with gold nib sells for either.

Just curious, where are you getting an impero pen with a gold nib for under a grand?

The oldwin posted above was significantly less than $1000, when offered by Mora stylos for purchase. Of course when you get into the secondary market, the price doubles.
I own 2 pens made from this, and it’s a gorgeous material, better than arco IMO. Sadly, secondary market money making practices pushes it out of the reach of most people.

Yeah, secondary prices are a bitch.
That’s why I asked where you are (present tense) buying an impero pen for under a grand (assuming you don’t have a wayback machine).

I see. My apologies, I did not pay that much attention the tense used in your previous reply. Both my pens were for above $1000.

I bought the pen pictured above 2 1/2 months ago at the LA Pen Show in February 2020
