Default Diamine - new style bottle cap mess

I have one new-style bottle of Diamine ink, which has a new-style cap. The wad inside the cap works like a saturated sponge rather than a gasket, causing ink to run down the sides of the bottle as the cap is unscrewed. The bottle is not full. Is anyone else enjoying this feature? I only have the one new bottle, so I only have old-style bottles and caps to compare. I plan to decant.

I have 4 new style bottles and haven't encountered this so far. On the other hand mine all stand the right way up so I suppose the ink isn't constantly in contact with the cap wad.
I would email Diamine and tell them about this problem.

Same problem here. Marked the damn desk too.

When you agitate the bottle, as you are advised to do prior to use the inner lining of the cap becomes saturated, ink runs down the bottle.

I was going to decant into an ink well but then I would not be able to have the shimmer through the ink.

Just tried the same test with other ink bottles, Parker, MB and Noodlers and all were ok, although I think that the old Sheaffer bottles with the metal cap had something similar going on.
