I found a Waterman Kultur that I had forgotten I bought. So I swapped my L'Etalon F nib into that section and I'm back in business.
    Here's Mystery Ink #15

I have only done one train journey with it but its a lovely shade of green. I've only used black so far and here's how it stacked up against my other ink tests (I like to see how it works with the moleskine sketchbook paper on its own, with water and the smudge factor). The test page and sometimes the date are the only times I write with it, the rest is sketching. Please excuse them, I'm doing a 100 people in 5 days challenge and I don't normally draw strangers from life so they're a bit ropey.
I'd already started my page this morning with Perle Noire so continued with mysterious green. It didn't dry as quickly as I'm used to so I was careful to draw from left to right and top to bottom, even then I got some on my thumb while I was holding the book up which made me want to put a spare page in there when I had to close it. I will try tomorrow but I think drawing a full page portrait would be challenging because of the drying time which is why I wasn't so keen on the onyx black. I do love the colour though and it writes/draws nice and smoothly. As others have said, there's no sheen to it, I can't decide if that's good or bad since I haven't got around to trying out the sheen sample I bought a while ago. I'll post some more pictures as I do them. Thanks for letting the ink noob play along

First impressions--I like it. I've developed a fondness for green inks lately and appreciate the brightness of this one. I can't wait to try it on some different papers, particularly in my current journal, a Field Notes Dime Novel.

I've had MI #15 in a pen for a little over two weeks. It's an ink I've used once before (free cartridge) and wasn't too fond of. I bought a bottle just for the MI revival because I wanted to see what others thought / felt vs. my own feelings on the ink. Having used it first with a BB nib and now in an EF I must say my opinion has changed. I love green, even though most of my inks are blues. I prefer dark greens and tend toward olive notes. I have thoroughly enjoyed the vibrant color of this one. It looks quite fantastic coming out of a green Visconti HS Jade. Much better than the not-very-green Visconti Green which came with that pen.

I've written with the aforementioned Visconti EF nib and also with a cursive italic modified Montblanc medium. I thought perhaps the wider nib would put down more ink and show darker, but it isn't much different. The strokes are wider thus there is more ink on the page and the eye perceives more "green" color, but it isn't any darker or more saturated. It did however start to develop a bit of a border / halo around the lettering. Pelikan Edelstein Topaz does this for me as well. The blue gains a pink outline with some pens and some papers. In this case it appears a faint black to me. See the cropped / zoomed photo.

I think I'll buy another bottle of this at some point. I've enjoyed it more the second time around.

I apparently need to update the watermark / copyright default in Lightroom to say 2018

The more I use it the more I like it. Its a very happy green which makes up for the slightly annoying longer drying time (I've only had inky fingers a couple of times). Here are some more. I think this is an ink I'd probably buy and use again.

So I have something of a love-hate relationship with bright colors.
When I'm in a neutral or good mood, I am happy to use them.
When I'm in a darker mood, it seems to add to the darkness.
This vibrant green is one of those bright colors that is rather mood dependent for me. If for no other reason, this is not an ink I would choose.

    The Good
To be absolutely objective, it is a nice vibrant green. It is neither too bright or too dark. It does not lean to the yellow or the blue, but manages to run that thin line called "Green". It is neither an overly smooth writing ink, nor does it feel dry.

It also did not hard start in any of the pens, even after being left unattended for days on end.

    The Bad
Not much of note. It's a very middling color and ink, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. However, it feels like it's just there for me. Aside from the vividness, it doesn't catch my attention, and as stated above, the vividness is not always a good thing for me.

    The Ugly
Even less of note. There really is nothing objectively bad about this ink. It behaves well, does decent on crap paper, and is one of those inks that seem to just work.

The snow report! This was kind of a rush job...snowstorm, power loss (no heat, light, or innerwebz)....got power back today, got ink a couple hours ago.

Loaded directly into a Sheaffer NN. It doesn't get on very well with the ink, though I thought it would. But I wanted to use a cartridge pen this time, ratherthan the Dollar piston-filler. I might swap the cart into a slightly better Sheaffer.

A light, bright springlike (and we could use some spring!) ink. Lighter than both the MB Irish and the JH Lierre Sauvage. No sheen for me, hardly any shading. I see a turquoise halo in the chroma, which may not show up in this scan.

My other pen is a Montblanc.

I'm glad it finally arrived. I'm disappointed that the USPS can get a package out of the country faster than it can deliver one inside the country. In the future I'll remember to mail out your sample before any international shipments!

    That's because I don't exist.

Update: I filled the Sheaffer cart one-quarter full, did the MI test, wrote a few pages, and boom! empty. Reloaded the cart and put it in a Sheaffer school pen, which writes a finer, but still wet, line. We'll see how long the ink lasts. Meanwhile, I'd better have a close look at that No Nonsense section.

It's not you, Sailor! The USPS rope ferry across the East River is a bottleneck.

The rope gets cut by every international vessel heading down river and out to sea...carrying the international MI samples. It's a conspiracy!

    I guess so.

I guess it's Herbin Lierre Sauvage, 'cause it looks like it from my EF nib onto Rhodia white.

Diamine spring green? It seems similar handling to the onyx black I tried and I googled for their greens, spring seems the nearest shade that I could tell from online.
