Default Random paper find under $5-Caliber

    Anyone else try Caliber notebooks?
I’m on a business trip and had to grab a toothbrush at CVS...and I figured it couldn’t hurt to feel up some paper...hehe.

I wasn’t expecting it to hold up to my fountain pens.

Could this be a fluke? See image and lmk if you have experience with this brand.

And try not to judge that I travel with a bunch of fountain pens.

I can't comment on the paper, but it is nice to see a fellow fountain pen user in my area, even if it is just for traveling. I am just a hop, skip, and a jump up from you at Lake of the Ozarks.

There are some hidden jewels of paper out there. Sammyo found some cheap pads at the Japanese equivalent of a dollar store near his home in Japan. They aren't the greatest, but they hold up to fountain pens as well or better than Leuchtturm (in my experience) and cost a whole lot less.

That looks good. I had not heard of them. I do have a CVS in my area, so I will pick one up and try it.

What does the back side of the sheet look like? Is there any bleedthrough? Or is it just ghosting?

Made in Vietnam. It’s the CVS in store brand.

Let me know what you think. I’m hoping it’s not a fluke. 🤞🏼

    ferociousnpretty,

Many thanks for letting us know.
I dropped by my local CVS store and picked up a couple - fantastic!
Here is a really good test of paper - my Swan with a serious flexy nib.
    Result - zero bleeding!
