Very nice indeed.
Very nice indeed.
Just sealed the deal so no pictures yet, but scored a jade Sailor Magellan with a 14k B nib and a Visconti Wall Street in red celluloid (regular edition) from Anderson Pens.
The temptations were too much!
I picked up a Visconti Wall Street Blue with a broad nib from Stylo.ca at a price of $449 Canadian...still some left. I did try for a red one from Anderson Pens but they never texted me back....now I know why. Congrats to you Steph.
I think the price for a double power filler Wall Street was respectable though.

That's a deal for you, Mags! Congrats!
It did come with a 14K Nib as I had hoped, wasn't listed as such, but took a gamble (but not a springy Fine, but rather a firm EF, still works nicely though).

The postman was worth waiting for today. He delivered this very nice "Art Deco" Swan self-filler. In lovely order throughout, there is the added bonus of its delightful broad stub nib - a relatively unusual feature.

Does the Copper one have the "toaster" (3 straight parallel lines) jewel in the cap? I have one of these transitionals and I have a feeling the copper colour is brighter than the later copper pens. I was wondering if you had observed this, or if I was just normal variation in the celluloid.
This danish MB 216.
It has some differences compared to the earlier version (206), the 216 is slightly longer but also a little thinner, they also have different clips, feeds and sections.

Been experimenting with different low cost pens. I am more of a pen user than collector. The Parker Frontier writes great and looks a lot more expensive than $20, very happy find. I have only used black Quink in it so far though I will probably try some Noodler's xFeather at some point. The Pilot Plumix are destined to be converted to eyedropper filler's. I love the grip as it is easy on arthritic fingers and reduces fatigue when writing a lot. It is a very small, 1mm I think, nub which I find almost as easy to write as a standard nib. I find I also write much neater with this pen. That is as far as I have gotten with my experimentation. As thin as the body looks on the Plumix, it measures out to hold 3mm of water which surprised me. I used a syringe to measure it. May have to put a dot of epoxy on the end of the body for the conversion. The Schneider has an interesting rubberized grip that I am interested in trying out. I got the Pelikano because I have read it sells very well in Germany, so I thought I would give it a try. I also like the long Pelikan cartridges for refilling with bottled ink.

Hmmm...I will need to have a look when I get home. I don't think it has "toaster" jewel.
I love the way the color changes in the light as you turn the pen in your hand. It goes from very bright to rather dark. Kinda reminds me of the way the color changes in My Krone Amelia Earhart.

I was ordering some stuff from Amazon and didn't have enough for free shipping (again). So instead of buying more of what I had, which I did think about, I added a Pilot Plumix. I'm planning to swap its italic/stub nib into my Pilot Prera. I have a Metropolitan, too, but the Prera's a bit short for me unposted, and I think giving it the different nib may encourage me to use it a bit more. I saw a video from Goulet Pens on how to do the swap and it looks fairly simple -- basically just pull out the nibs, swap bodies, and push them back in -- so I'm pretty sure I can do this. As easy as it may be, it will be my first pen modification.
Yesterday, a Parker 61 Signet, Mark III (C/C filler).
