That's a handsome pen, done in very good taste.

It's also quite a big pen if I remember correctly.

I've just ordered one as well - so cheap! And as I said, very handsome: it is enormous - 165mm long; the first modern pen I have bought (since some vintage pens were modern that is!).

Just a friendly warning to everyone. Do not go visit Brian and Lisa at Anderson Pen's. If you do, your wallet will be sorry.

They are running some clearance deals, some even too good for posting online, and after my wife loaded up the table, I had to get a few things myself.
She picked up a Blue Lamy Al-Star (not on sale) and some notebooks for the kids. I picked up a Rhodia notepad with a leather cover, some Visconti Red ink, and some Lamy Black.
They even had a great brown leather toiletry bag for some reason, but it looks and feels awesome, so that had to come home with me. There was a 4 pen holder as well that was a great deal.
Just a ton of great stuff.

And, while I was there, I had to get this....

It's a beautiful Ivory Delta Italiana with gold plated trim. Just a wonderful pen.

Also, while I was away at the Anderson's, a copper Esterbrook SJ with a 1551 nib appeared in my mailbox.

And, on the way home, I found a Sheaffer Balance? (with what I think is the wrong cap) with a 14k 33 nib. It says "350" below the Made in USA stamp, but I'm learning that isn't a model, but a price.

Also found a Permapoint from Eberhard Faber with a Faber Fine nib. Yes, it is related to Faber-Castell, but not the same company until the 80s.

Both of them sound like rattles, so I will try to restore these and see how well I can do.

Here is most of the end result of my wonderful Saturday.

Here's the 4 pen holder lined up for work today:

I've already got it (well both of them) apart and am getting it cleaned up. I'll need a new sac, but everything is in fantastic shape for the Eberhard Faber. The section screws in and out like an Esterbrook and the sac attaches right on the end of it. Another order with Brian and Lisa and I'll have this thing writing in a week. The nib was covered in blue ink that was so dark I couldn't even read it. With some warm water and a soft rag, it cleaned up like new. Not a spot or speck on it.

OK, nevermind. Just found a crack in the section. That's what I get for buying a pen w/out a loupe. Other than that, an excellent pen, writes nice too. Didn't leak until I soaked the section in warm water and it loosened up the blue ink that was in it. It started leaking out the side when I tested writing with it.

Cool Re: What is your latest pen acquisition?

LAMY 2000 w/broad nib arrived from Massdrop today. This will be shipped out for a #honeypotnib grind. Which is Nathans name for his cursive italic grind.

EDIT ~ I just inked it up with some Waterman Florida Blue and it is "silky" smooth. It is as smooth a nib as I have ever tried. Like writing on glass. I don't know if I like it or not though. I kind of like having some feedback. I'm sure being a broad nib helps this AND after looking through my loupe I can see there is a huge amount of tipping on it. I am surprised just how much there is considering how small the nib is.

Is it a factory version or was it custom done by someone in Japan?

I only ask as I know someone who just got an 805 just like that but it was custom done.

Congrats on that Peikan as it really is amazing. I love that the cap is done as well.

I got a TWSBI Diamond 580AL in orange with an extra fine nib from Anderson Pen's. It's my third fountain pen and i'm very happy with it. The Rohrer & Klingner Verdura ink looks great in the pen and it writes smooth. I really like the extra weight the aluminium gives it. it's my first piston ink filling pen which is very easy to operate.

Thanks for sharing that. It's a Pelikan limited edition. Pelikan made 333 of them. Nibs.com seems to have some.

Didn't expect to see one of these. More pics, pretty pretty please.

My humble new arrival is my first Parker 45, and one of the most modest from that line - dark grey with plastic cap and plastic body, M steel nib, in reasonably good condition. I must say it's a very pleasant writer. (I don't suppose it's easy to date the pen.) I should look for a 45 flighter next.

Picked up this 45 Flighter, arrived today, What I thought was probably an "X" (EF) Nib was instead a Medium (but a 14K Medium), which I guess is good considering I already have a 14K EF in the other 45. Also came with a good original style converter no hardness to it, the whole pen seems like it was new-old-stock, no evidence of ink in the feed or ever have been.
