Thanks alot. You use hot water or a hair dryer for heating? I understand that the old rubber sac is not easy to remove. I found a grey celluloid Waterman from ebay, but that pen have to replace the old sac if I want to use it again. I don't have any experience from repair the pens except to do something on the feeds and slightly grinding the nibs.

    Parker Pastel.jpg

Parker Pastel, button filler, from Ron Zorn at Main Street Pens. (The picture is his.) I bought it because I like the pattern of brown striations. (The first day I used it at work, I got an unsolicited compliment on my new "woodgrain" pen, from a co-worker.) It's a nice, reliable writer. It's my second vintage pen.

Here is my pen acquisition which is a vintage pen from the 50's. I never heard of this brand "Eric". It comes with 18k gold nib and hoping it will be flexible. I have to try to fix it if I want to use it as a daily writer.

Heliotrope your Parker Pastel, button filler is an unusual & attractive looking pen. It is a bit like you've stipped the bark off a branch to expose the green wood underneath. Intersesting ring cap too.

John that is a nice mottlely red & black marble pattern. I quite like the shape of the end of the cap.

Mrs Bogon advised that the Visconti TigerEye(?) FlatTop & SeaGreen Voyager were delivered this morning. (phew finally).
And now there is an Amber Millenium on the way after some eBay hijinks.

Picked up these goodies at a local antique store. I replaced the sac and gave them a light polish. The pencil was used and abused but the pen was clean as a whistle when I tore it apart. It had never been used! ]

I broke down and bought the Lamy Neon Yellow Safari with an EF silver nib. I quite like it.

I like the neon yellow Safari and bright red ink pairing. It's cheerful!

My two newest acquisitions: a full flex nib for an old Edison Huron and a Platinum 3776 in red mottled ebonite.

I just received a very nice Equi-Poised Wahl-Eversharp in the Flamingo color - a purchase from David Nishimura. This is my first Flamingo pen. One of my Grail pens is a Deco Band in this color.

Received this Sheaffer Snorkel from Rick Krantz - nice smooth writing pen
It is either a Saratoga or an Admiral and pre 1956. This my third Sheaffer - the first was the 3rd generation School pen, then I got the Sheaffer Imperial II Deluxe and today the Sheaffer Snorkle- this I would have to categorize this as my first vintage pen, as it is older than me. Like my Willys pickup truck circa 1956. I am a 1959 model. Says Shaeffer's on the clip and a 1/4 in band on the cap, on the barrel is engraved with the W. A. Sheaffer Pen Co etc - from the chart on Richard Binder's site the Saratoga and Admiral are both candidates, don't know how to Id further (not that it matters except for information). I think it is a good sample. Tines were ever so slightly off, minor adj later and it lost a tooth. Was a bit toothy.

Latest purchase was the Lamy Safari Neon Yellow with a fine nib. However, I'll be picking up two new pens that used to belong to my great uncle next week. Not sure what they are or their condition, but I'm excited to get them.

I finally received my Pelikan M400 white tortoise last weekend--it's even more gorgeous in person! I enjoy writing with more than my Montblanc for some reason--(and that's saying something, since the MB nib is close to perfection for me). While I was waiting 3 weeks for it to arrive, I also got a Pelikan M400 Rollerball in red/black (sacrilegeous, I know, I still write with rollerballs These are my first Pelikans, and definitely not the last! Sorry for the grainy phone camera photo:

I received a Renga ebonite bamboo style pen with a Shaeffer m nib and feed from Peyton Street Pens. Very pleasant pen. And a single pen stand from Lanier Pens made from bubinga and ebony. It will look great on my new desk.

    Hi Guys

I have had this little lot in the post over the last week.

Make a note to myself. "STOP BUYING PENS"

This first lot are obviously all Sheaffer, 2 Imperial 4's and a PMF the rest are all TM Snokels 2 with open 2 tone nibs and 2 with Triumph nibs, all now fully seviced and working well

    DSCF0520 [1600x1200].JPG

This second lot are 3 Parker Vacumatics and a Conway Stewart 388 again all now fully serviced and working and a new Parker Duofold Centennial UK Made

    DSCF0523 [1600x1200].JPG

    Dam this pen collecting bug.
