I picked up this sexy little thing last weekend at a local antique store and spent the past 3 days repairing it. It is rather epic. I still have to polish the cap.

Two Wingsung celluloid pens arrived finally, take a month travelling from Peking to Hong Kong, unbelievable. They write very smooth , one of them with slight springy. Another is the vintage Eric which comes with 18k semi-flex nib. The button filler and the sac are broken, I convert it into the aeromatic with a pilot sac. It write very well. Eric is almost sixty years old, the celluloid barrel and cap is not so good in condition.

Maybe not as fancy as some of the other pens I see in this thread but I am currently building the lower end of the collection.
    Left to right:
    - Dolce Vita Naranja. This is actually sold under that name, carefully avoiding any reference to Delta. I think it is manufactured
by Wancher but it is mentioned nowhere on the pen. My dealer is currently out of stock after SBRE reviewed it :-) but more is
ordered. For a $ 12 pen (including shiping from Japan) it is remakably well made, nib is smooth and well alligned. It comes with a
slide converter that works well but has a small volume. I replaced it with a Jinhao screwpiston type, it also takes standard cartridges.

    - I think almost everybody has one of these, Waterman Expert in matte black and chrome trim. The ultimate business pen for those
who want to make clear that their carreer is too advanced for a Parker but are not yet important enough to carry a Mont Blanc :-)
Purchased almost new for the total sum of € 20 from a guy who received it as a gift but had no idea where to get a replacement
cartridge or what else to do with it, sometimes you get lucky.

    - Currently the cheapest pen on the market in the Netherlands (€ 1,10 including 2 cartridges from HEMA). From the design and the
plastic I think it might be manufactured by BIC but it is not mentioned anywhere on the pen or the packaging. It also doesn't say
Made in China anywhere so I'm really not sure where it comes from. After just a few 8's on the old micromesh, the nib is quite
pleasant to use but due to the flat shape just slightly more flexible than concrete. After plugging a tiny venthole in the top of
the barrel, it might work as eyedropper.

    - Also from HEMA for € 3, this one is very popular in the back to school season. Aluminum barel and cap, comes in 4 finishes (matte
and gloss black/mate and gloss chrome, all with contrasting elements). All versions share the same section and nib. There is also a
ballpoint, rollerbal and pencil available in the same design. The IPG nib is very good and nicely smooth, not buttery like Faber
but more with an even texture like Waterman/Parker that alows you to feel the quality of the paper. SBRE has reviewed this pen on
    the youtube chanel.

There are some envelopes in the air from China, Japan and Hong Kong.

I recognise that pen! They used to be two for a pound here but seem to have disappeared lately. In my experience the nib is really quite flexible, but in a "whoops, I've bent it" rather than a springy way.

They work nicely as eyedroppers once that hole is blocked; another thing that's worth a try is snipping the tips off and making a crisp italic.

Nothing earth shattering here either but I like the Pilot Metropolitan but it only comes in a medium nib.

so I picked up a Pilot 78g and swapped the nib - works great except it is a gold colored nib on the metro with chrome clip - meh.

So I bought a fine nib for 16.00 with shipping and got a free pen for the box.

    lol

So I spy this sorry looking pen on ebay and think project pen... 5.96 and a buck to ship -- cool so I get it and try j-bar- stuck, no surprise.. so I go to remove nib - and the whole section comes out with a very supple sac.

Clean sac out and section - nib and feed and give the body a good cleaning - test sac to see it it holds water and air respectfully. ok, put it together ink it up and.

This -- so much for a project

It is 4 3/4 capped and 6 inches posted - it is a Penman Third tier pen company that went under in 1942, Nib is gold in color and says super smooth on it - no other markings on nib.

Hello! I'll just post my 2 cents here!

Yesterday I received the two I ordered some time ago: a Platinum Plaisir (0.5 nib) and a Pilot 78g (Medium Nib).

The both are green but the fist one has a metalic color.

I started to use the Pilot 78g first... I'm amazed! Although it's very light and made of plastic the nib is fantastic.

I found the Platinum Plaisir is the same as the Platinum Preppy (which is great too) but it has better balance since it's made of metal.

Well, I'll use them for "everyday use" in rotation with my other "cheap" pens. By the way, with shipping (to Brazil) the total cost was $22 dolars (something like R$46 Reais, brazilian money).

Now I'm looking forward a TWSBI 580. Maybe in a month or two...

    I'll take some pictures!

    Thanks!

My "Sumgai" story for the week!

I won a two pen lot on the bay this week- a Sheaffer Craftsman, and an Estie Trans J pen in black.
When the pens arrived yesterday, I was really pleased to find a "toaster" jewel up top, and a 2314B nib!
I got both pens for $25!!
