    Yes. It's PLUM!

Besides the difficult to get color, this pen also has a medium nib which is also less common for a US made Parker "51". The "51" in the background is a more common burgundy color. As you can see it's difficult to tell apart from just a picture.
I have a plum 51 and it is a fantastic color. I'll buy another one sometime because I like it so much. I can't understand why people didn't buy the color back then? Then again, turquoise pens sold. Photographing the plum pen is difficult to do and give the color justice. And the medium nib....

Beautiful! Sometimes the most demure of pens "dance" the best.

What is the ink you are using there please?

Picked up three pens at an antique mall last week. A Parker 21 from 2Q, 1949 that needed cleaning and polishing. A Sheaffer Vac-Fil with aTriumph nib that needs some polishing and a piston seal. A LeBoeuf thumb filler ring top in beautiful colors. It needs a sac and minor nib straightening. The three cost me ~$50.00. Most of the time I find pens that are junk with prices that are out of sight.

Here it is. I didn't think they were worth a picture. I was wrong.

No fountain pen worth getting isn't worth a-showing.

I just can't get enough of these Parker Challengers.
This one has one of the most stubborn section that just won't let go off the barrel.

Then I tried to fit an AL nib on it because its original nib has been sheared off by someone (can't understand what some people do to nibs).

Tomorrow, I'll continue testing. The writing is from the pen though, so it's not all bad.

I love that Lamy joy in silver and black. Is it matte black? Or is that just the photo?

Franklin-Christoph Model 66 Stabilis in Italian Ice. I eventually eyedroppered it with Akkerman #15 Voorhout (violet)

Litle update on a few weeks of car booting: a Waterman glass cartridge pen I can't identify (nice nib!), Oberthur wood-barrelled pen in a nice little wooden box, a handful of Waterman Forums, two more Laureats, another Phileas (mauve/blue), another Exclusive, and a '1944' pen commemorating the liberation of France (oversize and impressive). I love the 1944 but I have no idea who made it, so if anyone knows, please tell!

And I also acquired another Platinum 3776, this time with the music nib that I've been after for so long. Looking forward to trying it out!

Black Sheaffer vac fill desk pen with a large black base. It still works. Almost like the one my mother had.

sold my Lamy 2000 and with some of the money I went in for the FC Loom in MassDrop when the price fell under $30. I'm gonna see what the fuss is all about.

My most recent purchase is the this beautiful Edison Nouveau Premiere, Summer 2016 in Neptune's Pearl acrylic. It's my first Edison Pen, but surely wont be my last.
I'm currently waiting on a Tactile Turn Gist , purchased from a member of these forums. IMG_4687.JPG

Lamy Safari in Blue with a Medium nib. Overall I'm happy with it so far. I started with Pilot pens and Jinhao so this is my first German pen.
