Picked up this Parker Premier in brown/gold. I had been eyeing the black w/silver design for awhile ($440) but saw this one discounted on Amazon from $350 to $153 because the box was damaged. I couldn't resist and picked it up. The "damage" was scotch tape on two corners. Writes wonderfully - super smooth!

Pelikan M250 with a medium nib and a M450 vermeil cap… Looks just as nice as a regular black M450 but has a much better M250 nib!

Please excuse my unfortunate choice of words. I should have said that the M250 nib is much better for me. This is the M250 old style 14k nib that is softer, springier and shows some line variation, though it is not a flex nib. The more modern M450 nib is two-toned 18k, a lot harder and IMO not as nice.

S T Dupont Montparnasse, gold-filled, with original box and papers, rocked up to my door today. It looks the goods but man, it's a long post from Hungary.

Probably not the most exciting pen in the world but I don't have a recent bird and this one was smiling at me in a webshop clearance for € 50 new in box including shipping.

    I got it, Carlos.
For what it's worth, it's not just you. I also much prefer the vintage version of the Pelikan and the MontBlanc pens also precisely because of this reason.

Just got another Montblanc 214, this time it´s a coral red one, with a matching pencil.

They are in very good shape, and all that was needed was some cleaning and a new sac in the FP.

Default What is your latest pen acquisition?

Inoxcrom Basix - got it for around US$4.25 at a local bookstore / stationery shop. Bought it straightaway because one of the salespersons told me it was going to be phased out, and I figured it would feel right at home with my collection of green pens. Would appreciate any information about this apparently-discontinued model.

I have just overpaid (most probably) for a Waterman 452 1/2V with a buffable exterior but which will need an unknown amount of internal repair. Way to go. I will see how this particular brilliancy plays out in a few weeks after it arrives.
