This has a No. 3 nib. I traded a decent 2-band turquoise Chilton for it.

My tastes continue to shift...towards even greater obsolescence.

A few pens I ordered from eBay came in and I must say I'm a very happy camper. The hero 9315 ($13) in Gunmetal and Rose Gold is beautiful to look at. The nib is pretty smooth but it was a little dry at first so I separated the tines a tiny bit. The Baoer 508 polishe magic is also a stunner and probably one of the smoothest FPs I own and i paid $2.16 for it, which is crazy because so far it is giving me a better writing experience than some of my $20-$30 range pens.

I threw a black cartridge in the Hero, but I'm looking for a pink ink to use with the included converter. I've got Baystate Blue in the Baoer and figure that'll just be my BSB pen from now on.

Got this pen about 2 weeks ago, but can't use it because the piston was seized so I had to disassemble the pen, clean it as much as I can and wait for O-rings from David Nishimura. With the O-rings arrived yesterday I finally can restore the piston filler and I'm currently testing the pen, so far so good.

This pen being the entry-level IBIS from Pelikan, has the Rap-pen 14K nib that is just as good as the Pelikan nib on my 140.
The nib is just so soft, expressive, smooth, and I just love the way it renders line variations.

    Ink: Diamine Evergreen.

This MB 22 piston filler, i´m not sure whether its green or gray, and also a coral red danish MB 12 pencil, which is a matching pencil for the 206/204 FP, i also have the short version, which matches the 212 FP.

Eboya Yatate in Akebono with a wide medium Bock nib. A Yatate was the thing used to carry the brush or pen and the ink stone. Akebono is Dawning or Sunrise.

Got a Sailor 1911 standard for its music nib. Turns out Sailor music nibs are 2-tined and do not flex, unlike most that I see on instagram which are 3-tined and flexy. It's just a stub, but sold as a music.

Don't believe 99% of what you see on instagram or the internet. Most music nibs do not flex regardless of who made them.

The equivalent of about 25 $, but that included some original pencil leads.

Just received a handsome little Moore set. I love this bronze/black material that was used back then, and I have both Moores and Conklins in the material. The bonus was the cool little Bakelite case that flips open and closed.

    Nice pen, Jon.

I have a Carter set that also came with a similar nifty bakelite case. When I thought about bakelite, I imagine sticky or crumbly plastic (like bakelite cameras), but these are nice and obviously stable and durable for surviving intact until today.

Visconti Rembrandt in the "Back to Black" Ruthenium trim. It has a fine nib that I would classify as a wet medium.
