Arrived this morning, Jack Row's new model, the Canterbury. Cast in bronze by the lost wax method.
I am really pleased with it.
A fitting companion to the Mirage that he made for me last year.

Back to back Esterbrook Dollar pens, a 1938 and this afternoon a 1934. The '38 came with a '32 flat feed that I was able unclog with one of my spare Mandolin strings.

A few recent ones:
Found a shop selling the Conklin "Mark Twain" Crescent fillers for $100 shipped. So I took the plunge because I like old-school filler systems and black chased patterns. It's a nice pen but as with so many of the new Conklins, the nib needs work when it arrives. It's not what I would call "serious work" - but it's more a careful adjustment and smoothing. Nib has more "give" to it than expected - it's not a nail (nib has more give to it than my black chased "Glider" model). This is a very substantial, old school pen. But it's not a pen for the novice - quirky filling system and may need nib tuning out of the box.
Sheaffer hard rubber flat top #34 with "Sheaffer Clip" - this turned out to be a larger pen than expected. The model number was not listed - just listed as a flat top old Sheaffer that needed a cleaning and new sac. This was a smooth hard rubber pen, so polishing cleaned up the color. Feed needed to have a wire passed through it to get old ink crud out, even after time in the ultrasonic cleaner. Nib is a fine, flexible #3. A really neat old pen. Pen is larger than either of my Waterman 52 models, and substantially larger than a 1915 Sheaffer #2 model I have.
Jade green long-model early Balance. This pen has nice color, but the barrel is crazing around the mouth. It has some small cracks, but it tightens up OK to the section. Really nice, smooth medium nib. It's a firm Lifetime nib and it's a good writer. It came with a hard rubber "Skrip" ink jar that still has a little bit of blue ink in it. The very old sticker on the bottom says it's a "permanent blue". The jar even seals up tightly. The Balance has a silicone sac in it now. Too bad about the little cracks around the barrel mouth - otherwise a great pair of Sheaffer items.

Lamy Studio in Black.
I have been wanting to try one for awhile now. I like the Lamy nibs once they are aligned and smoothed a little. But I don't love the triangular Safari grip that much.
I like the fit and finish. It's a really classy looking pen. And the unusual, stylish clip shape has the bonus of being able to grab and lift it up to aid clipping the pen to a thick shirt.
I wonder how slippery the chrome grip will be. I have thought about getting a silver Studio and swapping parts to get an all black and all silver pen.
I had to align the nib and smooth it some but it seems decent now. I've loaded the pen with Lamy Black which seems to work just great.
The pen is fairly heavy but really well balanced even posted. And the mechanic for posting is quite brilliant. It clips into place with precision. Likewise the cap snaps into place with a feeling of high quality. This is quite a lot of pen for the money, I have to say.

A Sheaffer Balance Premier (oversize) Vac-Fill in golden-brown celluloid with one of those lovely rare Sheaffer flex nibs. It was apart for examination and nib/feed adjustment.

Those are beautiful pens. I love the way the brass one looks.

I’m waiting for a DuPont Phoenix Renaissance with a fine nib. I have always looked at their pens as works of craftsmanship and when you add lacquer with meteor dust it was a perfect Xmas present.
Will see how it writes after the 25th

I was looking for a small demonstrator sized FP and read reviews for the Stipula and the Moonman. Eventually I decided to order the Moonman C2 with a M nib. This pen comes in different colours, but Moonman only make it with a F nib. The seller on ebay who I bought it from (esybuy) also provides it with a Jinhao M nib.
It's an eye-dropper only fill, no cartridges or converters will fit into the section, but it's a fabulously smooth writer and I love it. It's exactly what I wanted.
I'm tempted to buy another one!

Cool. I see a lot of positive posts about the moon an over on Reddit. Congrats!

The C2 also comes in a Christmas version with snowflakes.
I found one of my Grail pens online & used for a reasonable price so now I own a Faber Castell Walden Woods pen.

I L❤️VE these pens! I also just upgraded to the Moonman II. The craftsmanship is excellent. (I only wish I could find a clip to put on it when I want to carry it on my person. A removable clip so the lines remain nice and sleek.)

Santy Claus brought me a Victorian dip pen with an agate handle! Here's a picture of it with the inkwell I got for my last birthday:
Here's a detail of the mechanism that holds the nib in place. The ring over the tip of the piece slides up and down.
