Hi,
I like those small eyedroppers a lot, so an other one is just ordered:
A Swan 1500 manifold, it should have a hard xf nib. No flex this time.

Was that one of the ones you got in that great deal? I think 16 is also the size for Esterbrooks, and I have a few of those unsacc-ed, I can compare nipple sizes, now that I think of it. Thank you!!!
All told, I can probably put my hands on half a dozen or more of those later Wearevers with the solid color plastic bodies and the metal caps right this minute. A few always seem to come along for the ride if I get any other vintage pens. They mostly look like they have been ridden hard and stabled wet by time they get to me, but they have an incredible history of showing up with their nibs and feeds.
I have to assume the people who liberate other nibs don't find them worth the time, but they do work ok.

Here's my latest purchase, a very special one at that. This is an Oversize Vacumatic I got from old reliable ebay. It's my first Vacumatic Oversize. The last Vacumatic I got was an emerald Senior Maxima between 5 or 6 years ago with a star clip. The owner described the nib as the smoothest fine nib you'll ever get (well, he probably didn't describe it with that much hyperbole). I can tell you that it does simply glide through paper. It's magical to write with.

I'll let Markiv or anyone else correct me, but I believe this system is very much like the 1st version of the Waterman Ink-Vue pen, which is a version of a bulb-filler, albeit more complex. Essentially, that lever squeezes a latex sac, expelling air out that thin breather tube in the barrel. Releasing pulls ink up, but since the opening of the tube is at the back end, you can repeatedly do this without expelling ink until the ink level reaches the end of the filling tube, almost filling the entire barrel. Very tricky to work on in the restoration. If you'd like to see that process, here's an example from Richard Binder's site.

Jon, I couldnt have done it better! Thanks.
While on the topic of learning here is a nice reference for Signagraph - https://gopens.com/the-waterman-signagraph/

This is a nice and rare demonstrator Vik, congrats!
My newest is a beautiful but a bit strange Soennecken from the 1950's.
No markings, no model number. I am still trying to find out what it is....

Not at all. Roseglow is pretty much a two-dimensional striated celluloid like Sheaffer's other colors (carmine, emerald, golden-brown, silver-grey). The celluloid in Christof's pen has a depth of clarity, with a repetition of opaque square bits floating in a pattern that changes perspective as you roll and tilt the pen. I'd love to see a polished rod of the original stuff.
P.S. My guess is a Soennecken 222. There are different sizes.
This photo appears to be of the same pen as that in Christof's prior post.
