Very nice. I think these are among the handsomest designs of that era. Do your research before attempting to force a stubborn section from the barrel.

    Ooh pretty.

I don't anticipate too much issues , seller already restored it (though I usually like to check on the sac).Didn't have any issues with the OS WASP in terms of grip, though it's celluloid that he also restored when sold. Which means the grip is probably already easy especially since he didn't seem like the type to dab shellac etc.

Wish I could figure out where my pencil fits on the timeline, has the older top, but newer roller clip, but can't find that combo in any of the catalogs so wondering if maybe it's transitional. Or someone used an older top to repair it. Would be nice to get a matching pencil closer to the ad.

Seller's pic of the Wahl 7207C I received today.

My pic after disassembling the "restored" pen that needed a cleaning (heavy amounts of ink in the nib/feed/sac/barrel/cap) and re-sac

The nib on the left is the Manifold it came with, the one on the right, the semiflex needlepoint I want to transplant into the pen.

Surrounding it is the woodgrain pencil I already had, as well as a similar "Wahl Pen" (on the clip) in Jade ( 7212C ) with a #2 "Signature" (Semiflex) EF.

Will have a loose 14K Wahl-Eversharp Manifold after I get the Rosewood restored.

Well ... darn it. Had an offer, well two offers sent that I forgot about (ie: was fishing for how low to go, since some auto-deny)

Parker 45 Flighter for under 20 I'm not going to complain about much, especially since the nib *seems* ok (really hard to tell) but if not I have a spare XF.

But this one... is a "WHY the hell did I did that...", a darkly discolored Parker Lucky Curve, with a WASP clip (in a similar green 'circuitboard'). Especially one where you can hardly see the nib.

Sent a friendly "tip" about using paper towel put into a PVC pipe just a little longer than the pen as a shipping suggestion.

These are very decent pens.... I like their fude nib, especially great for line variation..
I would say the only problem with these pens is ink evaporation. If you let them for sometime, ink evaporates....

2 on the way from Italy…Got a new job and have reneged on my 3-pen minimalist approach to a set of users and gone back to my gut instinct for vintage Italian celluloid: I’ve gotten another OMAS Extra Lucens, this time in nicer condition from Paolo at Zona900, and it’s in the cracked ice material! And from the bay, an Aurora Novum (2nd gen) in a stunning marbled green with one of them storied flexible prewar Aurora gold nibs…

What do you think about this pen? I keep looking at it but have yet to pull the trigger. I have a few other style Moonmans that Im very happy with. Im a little hesitant on the “off brand” of this model

As a beginner I started looking for a good ink for my Visconti. Through another forum I read about Irushizuku and bought the shin-ryoku because Visconti is green 😁.

I then went looking for other inks.
I came across Kyo No Oto through this forum. I saw examples of the no.6 Adzukiiro 😍 so I wanted a red pen as well. I came across this Marlen. A little read, bid and won. To be honest, I went more for the looks.
Pen is much brighter red than in the photo of the auction site, I think that's a shame. I was hoping for a warmer shade of red. The flamed/marble effect has lighter patches that appear pink depending on the light. My search continues for a red pen. I can't say anything about the writing properties yet because I haven't filled it yet. the pen is comfortable in the hand. Seems to feel lighter than Visconti, which is more top heavy. definitely lighter than the st. dupont Fideli. The Marlen has a screw cap that you have to turn twice before it comes loose. Personally, I think it's a bit much and I notice that I like the "click system" of st. dupont and Visconti are more comfortable.

I hope I answered your question that way. when the ink is there I will tell/show how the pen writes.

Ow I also ordered Kyo No Oto nr.10 Ochiguriiro 🙈 now also looking for a matching color pen (tips are welcome).

Talking Re: What is your latest pen acquisition?

    As promised:

I must say that I was pleasantly surprised at the Iroshizuku Momiji. The slightly pink touch looks good with the Marlen.
The paper was a tip om this forum but I’m not a dan yet. It’s a bit to smooth for me.

The pen is in good balance in my hand en the medium nib flows over the paper. I used a universel converter but it is to long so the, how do you call it, writing unit (?) doesn’t connect properly with the barrel. So to Tmac, I don’t know of that had your attention already, to me it was an surprise.

@mod I’m sorry if this post is in the wrong topic but I tried to answer a previous question from Tmac. Please rearrange of you think it must.

Both Kyo no oto are waiting for a new pen :-)
