Depends on them, in the wild for a gold-filled cap or celluloid striped cap one, I wouldn't pay more than $30 or so for an unrestored/unknown one, assuming it physically looked decent and doesn't appear to be missing anything (ie: clip, chunk of the barrel, etc). I try to aim for $15-20 for a dirty one that seems structurally fine and just needs to be cleaned up and re-sac'd. Primarily because you can get a fully restored gold-filled or striated cap one for around $60 - $100 sometimes a little less in 'user grade'.
The Moire is a different story because a restored one can easily go $200-300, and unrestored still seems to be pretty high, but if I did it again I would not go more than 60-80, funny enough the moire model was the economy model of most of the ones offered, but held their color better than the newer materials. I grabbed this one because it was the first time I saw a moire in a while that was structurally rather good and just needed a re-sacing.
Also while the Demi is somewhat Petit (4.75" capped, 4.6" uncapped, 5.1" posted), it's not too small, it's similar to the size of a Pelikan M200/M400 with a tapered tail end, and thinner barrel (and smaller nib). But the standard size is a good feel. There's also the executive model that's larger with a larger sac even, but it cost as much as the Moire. By the time I'd look into spending $300 towards an Eversharp I'd be looking at one of the Dorics.

A couple of Preppies, to go with my different Noodlers colors. The converter for the Preppy costs twice as much as the pen.
I got 4 Monteverdi mini converters for my Schrades

Waiting for a month, finally got it. Mont Blanc 3-42G piston filler which comes with 14k semi-flex F nib. Ink flow is not so good, I have to loose the blind cap a little, then it will not skip. But it can't write when the ink running dry from the feed even the barrel is full of ink.

Disassemble the feed and nib, there's some dry old ink blocked the ink channel. Clean it up then it writes very well.

Here a couple of recent arrivals in two of Mabie Todd's wonderful patterns.

Just arrived in the mail this morning from Cool-Japan, an ebay purchase of a Platinum Century #3776 Chartres Blue with a C (BB) nib, joining the other two Platinum #3776's I've got, a Bourgogne Red Century with a SF nib and an older Black Balance with a B nib. The C nib is so very broad, it's like writing with a felt tip, so smooth, I've filled it up with Kaweco Paradise Blue, lovely. It seemed a bargain at £43.08, but once you've added the carriage ($15.00) then the HM Government VAT (£9.82) and the Royal Mail clearance fee (£13.50) it added up to £77.20, not such a bargain, but still better than the £109.00 that Cult pens would like to charge me

Crest something or other, I should think. I'm guessing you'd have mentioned if it was solid gold (that would be Crest Masterpiece). Unfortunately, my Sheaffer history from 1942-50 is too weak to know if/when they had Crest model that was all gold filled and what they would have called it. David I., Roger W., or Hugh C. would probably know.

Sorry, I just checked a catalog, and I guess they just called the all 14K one "Masterpiece". The "Crest Masterpiece" had black barrel with the gold cap.
Should be worth a pretty penny. That pen retailed for $100 pen in 1949. Not sure of the range of years when this one might have been manufactured, probably starting in 1942 or in whatever year after that the Masterpiece was introduced. I think production continued until 1950.

Nice! That will probably be my next F-C but I'm still enjoying my new model 20 for now.

Thanks Kent. F.C make innovative products.
I just took a good look at their website to find your mod. # 20. What a neat way of capping the pen.
Enjoy!
