This one, from Zhivago. Writes beautifully, and is an eye-stopping red-orange. It's filled with De Atramentis Fuschia.
My other pen is a Montblanc.
And my other blog is a tumblr!

My first pen hunt at antique stores has been a success!! Found these two in a jar listed for $10 and $20, and with a 10% off sale, my total came in at $28.

Hi Cob
I haven't inked it yet. I'm cleaning then I promised to play a game with my eldest.
What do you mean by the shade?
Groan.
It is quite brown.
Is the brown marble an official colour (is the pen mislabelled)? Or does marine bronze discolour?
The nib is almost certainly flex (pushing with finger nail). I don't flex but I do like a soft nib.
Well the barrel may be discoloured, but the cap looks OK; you saw Cryptos's SM2/58 in the "Pens I used Today" thread didn't you?

That's why I bought one!
I had a rummage around the internet and there are a few That are this dark. Could it be a random colour distribution of the liquid material as it is made?
Actually I suspect it's discoloured, but so would I be after all that time.

Chanukah in July. I came home from vacation and opened my gorgeous Scriptorium Oversize Scribe. Just love it!
And the new brass Kaweco AlSport for the collection. Writes beautifully and not too heavy for me at all as I feared it might be. And then the Twsbi eco. So far it seems also a terrific pen. Can't beat the price.
Finally a bevy of inks and ink samples. Including a couple of samples from mlink of KWZI iron galls. Not bad for one day!

I am sure that it is quite likely there could be variations, but the barrel does look rather different from the cap - I would expect to see more green in the barrel, though I have to say I think that the way the barrel is, is very attractive - though not standard!
EDIT, now if you want real discolouration I have it right here - and this barrel has had an hour in the US cleaner in ammonia solution!!

That's a real shame - it looks like it would have been a cracker in its day.
Yes, bought for spares, a New York-made 142/50: the cap is even more outrageous than the one on my green 230/50 Frankenswan so it will go there; the nib/feed and section go to my 142/54 whose section had been geezered by some oaf to fit what is in fact a very nice but inappropriate broad No 3 nib.

Something that comes with bright green ink cartridges.....
Frivolous purchase!
