And another recent Swan: a 2-SF from around 1920. Not so very exciitng to look at, but I am in love with the nib; it is a sharp stub/italic - and suits me very nicely. A keeper this one I fear!

I'm not chasing many current pens, but this was a Kickstarter project that caught my eye. If you blink you'll think I picked up a Nakaya Portable Cigar in matte black, but no. It's an ēnsso Piuma. All aluminum matte anodized with a black steel Bock F nib. Only adornment is the name in very small letters at cap lip. Excellent build quality, writes perfectly well, big giant $40.00 as an early investor.

You can probably fit a Franklin Christoph nib to that, just letting you know.

Now that would have appealed to me. The name - Enso - has a personal connection. At $40 though, not sure if I'd want to go to $80.

My latest antique mall finds - a Stipula I Castoni Lapis with a fine 14k nib and a Sheaffer student pen with a fine steel stub nib. The two for $20.

Here's another interesting MAbie Todd nib, this time a Blackbird. I have never seen another nib like this one!

Last purchase was one for me and one for the wife.
I got a Pelikan Souveran M805 Stresemann with a "fine" nib.

I treated my wife to a Delta Vintage Gentile Japan limited edition (Gentile Galante model). It was one of a series of pens designed to represent the the strength of the Tohoku people (Kumamto area) after the large earthquake

Really hard to find... There were 10 colour models and only 150 of each... we found it purely by chance.

The Delta is a beautiful pen. However, my likes tend to be the Stressman. I'm kind of an old codger... It's on my list.

I'm not a fan of miniature pens but I've just been gifted a miniature Waltham fountain pen with a Waltham Du-O-Way 14k nib with a matching propelling pencil. It's so comfortable to write with when posted and I really love it already.

Got a Lamy 2000 with Fine nib today. I sure don't know why I did not buy it before! Very nice pen, may not look like much but its very nice in hand and how it writes.

My brother arrived on Sunday with a bundle of pens, including several junky ballpoints but also three Parker 25s - two blue, and one matte black. Little bit of "whoops, I dropped my pen" nib recovery needed on one, but it writes okay now, even if it doesn't look quite perfect. One will probably go to my dad, given he's already appropriated the rollerball version I had kicking about.

Also a couple of 45 fibre tips, one of which was a Harlequin Grey Shield. As I can't convince either this brother or SIL to revert to FP use, I bodged up a means of converting those to take regular G2 refills and sent them back with him today instead. I'll have to point him towards Darryl at More Engineering for the considerably more refined solution, for I was in a shocking hurry to get it done in time with what was to hand and it wasn't the prettiest result.

I never liked pen and pencil combo, but I like the material on this Waltham.
So I made a black end out of Delrin and I got myself a quite handsome pen.

I just got stiffed again - literally. Was looking to get a Waterman 94 in steel quartz; couldn't find a decent example anywhere. Saw a Waterman #5 with a red keyhole nib being sold on FPN. The pen was black but I thought I would accept that as the seller claimed the nib was very flexible and able to write from extra fine all the way out to 2.8 mm. Funny, just checked the other site and note that the seller has completely erased the classified. Anyway, pen has arrived and it is good condition, but that nib is not flexible at all. If I lean on it a bit it will vary up to about 1 mm. It's not a flex nib.

And people wonder why I have trust issues regarding the pen community.

Curiosity got to me again - one of the new Kaweco Perkeos in "Old Chambray" (which translates to off-white and dirty blue). Between the cap, barrel, and section, it has twenty-seven sides. This makes it a icosikaiheptagon, but I suppose that wouldn't have been a memorable model name...
