You need to ply her with flowers, chocolates, wine and convincing argument. It'll pay dividends in the long run.

She is having to settle for a 4 week holiday in the latest exotic location that work has sent me to (Florida), before a couple of years in our next permanent location - Las Vegas!

Well this one certainly has done a few miles in its 74 or so years. It should do a few more in a week's time as it is up on ebay now!!!

A pleasantly plain lever filler from Deb's sales, with a rather lovely semi-flex nib, which I am thoroughly enjoying!

It is! A very comfortable one to use. The flange is rather interesting too. I'll try to take a photo when I get home to show how it is set up.

Can you also take a photo of it in your hand? It has an intriguing shape.

Your other nib holders are also beautiful. I like that the makers can play with whatever materials they please, since the nib holder body isn't supposed to come in contact with ink -- adds an extra dimension compared to fountain pens.

Not that easy to photo in hand. This is the best I can do right now - pen in one hand, juggling cellphone in the other. sorry for quality. Hope it gives some idea of how it works.

Now I want a dip-desk pen that looks like that
No need for ink reservoir, just a big ebonite feed that can hold a page worth of writing.

It has been a while since I have bought a new fountain pen. For my birthday I decided to get a Visconti Giardino dell‘Eden fountain pen blue with an Extra Fine nib.

    Details can be found here:

Sorry but I have no photos of my own yet.
My other writing instrument is a pencil.
