Thanks to all who made suggestions to me about various kinds of pens that I might look into. I considered a lot of options, then this thing came along....Bazinga!
Bazinga indeed. That is one nice fat Italian beauty. Happy retirement.

Congrats on reaching the retirement, which hopefully translates into "now I can really pursue the things I like" -phase.

The new Maiora Alpha line is very attractive, I hope you'll have years of enjoyment out of it.

Here is one by Morgan Wisser - these was a very tricky project but rewarding results in the end.

Base pen is Omas precious wood which has serious surface imperfections so this is the best makeover IMO.

Innovative and artistically done. Had you not mentioned issues with the pen, no one would likely know. Another stunner from your collection.

I love these set Chris!!! I know how they writes as I have few simple elites.
They write super fine and great for my cursive writing.
Your latest add looks a superb model I haven't seen before.

Heres a collage of the said pen. The amount of detail in the relief elements is incredible.

Thanks, Bold. I saw several beautiful wooden pens, but ultimately the best ones within my budget limits were on the smaller size for my hands, and the sections were narrower. I ended up going bigger. I also decided that I wanted an ink window. Additionally, a generous redditer of no acquaintance to me sent me a wooden pen out of the blue. Wild! And it is oversized!
