    Which nib did you chose?
Medium. I usually would have gone for a broad nib, but the RB wasn't available in B. This medium nib turned out to be wonderfully wet and smooth and luscious so I'm quite happy with it.

I went crazy this past two months.

    I bought
2 pilot VP M and F, in black and Chrome
1 lavender pilot decimo EF (for my wife)
    1 pilot 91 SF a little skipping issue :-(
    1 Lamy 2000 EF
    1 Pelikan M800 EF
    1 Pelikan M205 F
    1 Pelikan K205

    I need to stop

Wink Re: What is your latest pen acquisition?

Well, a bit of a bumper morning:

    12_7_14.jpg

The lovely Swan Minor on the left - SM1-60, has a gem of a nib and was a separate purchase from the rest of them. Second is a Mentmore Diploma with a nib that need straightening. Third from the right an English Unique, with lovely Unique flexible nib; the one next to it is a real oddball - look at the clip! - called "M Ingham" Nice little flexible warranted nib though. The pencil is a Mabie Todd, broken clip but with 18 carat engraved gold band; anyone got a clip??

The star though is fourth from the left - I thought before opening it that it was another el cheapo mittel-europa piston job. The nib about a Size 4, was a delightful surprise and even more so when I dipped and wrote with it.

    Osmia Nib.jpg

On the barrel is stamped Osmia and 884BB. The broken and cheap cap is obviously hopeless! The piston mechanism is stuck, but who cares?!

The rest of the pens? Junk, but I'm very happy.

I just got a couple of Petit1 FPs from Jetpens after seeing Azizah's posts on them on Gourmet Pens. I had an older one and wanted the orange and the blue. I love the blue ink in the blue one. I have also just ordered a Lamy AL-Star in Purple and a Faber Castell Loom in Plum (EF); I have a birthday coming next week, and my husband wanted to know what her should give me. I tell him about it when he gets home tonight. He will love to know how happy he has made me!

    Well...

I drove down to the PNW pen meet in Portland, a fun 3 hour road trip with hubby who was a very good sport (he couldn't care less about any pen), but he was happy to sip a beer while I oggled pens... Rick Propos was there. (Great to meet him) and he talked me into a Montblanc 146 that *someone else* was selling for frankly a very good deal. The problem with someone like Rick knowing your pen preferences is that when he leans in and says "that's a great deal, buy it." You sort of just have to buy it.

I went to the Miami Pen Show last minute, just to wander around. Ran into Andy Lambrou just like my first Miami Pen Show. And it cost me a fortune in a wonderful new pen I could not resist, just like that first show. He is personalizing his new book on Japanese fountain pens and will ship it to me next week as part of our deal. This is the LB5 Midorigi Sailor King Profit, #13/50. Broad nib. My first Sailor so I guess I went big in that regard!! 😃

Tracy Lee congratulations on your LB5 Midorigi Sailor King Profit. It looks absolutely gorgeous. What a way to start off a Sailor collection.
And you are getting a book too ? That sounds a little bit dangerous for your finances.

    Ok, pictures.

I really use no nibs that aren't italics or vintage flex. I hate modern f/m/b nibs with a passion. And I never expected to own a 146 given their crazy prices new. This one was the same price I paid for my last 244 and the m nib.... I don't hate it. I'm actually enjoying it. Huh. MB strikes again.

Woa! The materials used by Lambrou are outstanding. Never "knew" anyone who had one of these Sailors before you! Congratulations. Very handsome pen. Glad you got the new book, too.
