Not exactly the whole pen, but received a Parker 45 left oblique medium italic that I just installed on one of my beater 45's. Awesome nib and very under rated.........

Much thanks!! It really is amazing! I actually had these same concerns about comfort while writing, having the pen slip during longer writing sessions, BUT the shape of the grip, the balance, combined with the incredible, almost ridiculously smooth NIB makes for a writing experience like no other. This is the only Dupont pen I’ve ever used and so I can’t speak to Duponts in general, but I do own a Dupont lighter. Dupont takes what are generally the most mundane of utilitarian objects, rethinks them in every detail, and creates heirloom objects of the highest order which will surely outlast their owners.
I’ve yet to write with an Omas, but I intend to. I really can’t fathom a better experience than this Dupont has provided. At this point, to buy anything except another Dupont feels like a compromise of some sort.
To anyone who has written with a Dupont Olympio, is there a better built fountain pen? Obviously there are special editions and bejeweled pens, but so far as build quality and general writing experience.... if there is better, I’d be VERY curious to try.

I adore my Dupont Olympio (my one is medium size). The only metal pen I have that can compete in quality is my Caran d'Ache Leman. Dupont is more comfortable to hold, but I prefer CdA's lacquer.

I have often thought about a Hundred Year pen. That pen looks like it is in exceptional condition.

I've always wanted an early Onoto...Now that I have one, I can say the experience is completely different from any other pen I've used. Yes, thin and light, but none of my other pens feel so purely designed to write. 20170911_103334.jpg
