Diplomat excellence. A very nice pen in green with gold highlights. A very well built and finished pen but quite heavy which is one disadvantage of buying without the benfit of handling first.
I have passed it onto my son who likes a heavy pen.

Kaweco Dia 2 with fine steel nib.

I see what people mean about the nib looking small. That's OK I still think it looks quite nice.

It also writes differently from my other pens. It is somehow smooth with little feedback but not too slippery on the page if that makes sense. Quite a pleasant experience.

I tried a few inks since it is a very wet writer and settled on Perle Noir for now.

    Hi,

last week a Mabie Todd Swan 1041 (late 1940s) arrived. :-)

Diamine Racing Green matches its color perfectly.
The nib is just stunning! Flexy, but no wet noodle, a medium to broad line.

Guys, looking trough my old stuff I found an Omas Pen. It seems pretty simple but I remember that it got in our family around 1980s. Reading the nip it says 585 14k. Do you have any idea how much is it worth. I do not like it so I plan to sell it. This is a video of the pen - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZcTCPb08bk and here are some photos:

SchaumburgSwan, that Mabbie Todd is a beaty and I envy you that nib.

I normally don't like Racing Green , but find it isenhanced by the nib, and I am looking at it differently.

    Thak you.

    I traded a M600 for a M800. I miss the 600. It’s a great size.

A Franklin-Christoph 46 XLVI Autumn Oak. The photo does not do justice to the very attractive acrylic.

    Merci fountainpagan.

MT made some really fantastic and beautiful stuff!
This nib is not that seldom (or am I wrong? I see one offered at the moment).

This is Diamine Racing Green (Rolf Thiel edition), beeing a bit warmer then the former Montblanc ink.
Not a screeming ink, more a noble kind of color... as is the color of Gold itself :-)

BTW: What is Your favourite dark green?

    Best wishes

    Dear Cob,

    yes, really, thank You.
It has no model number engraved, but saying 1041 should be save, I think.

    Hi,

Stipula Calamo Muschiato looks very interesting, I was hoping for such when asking... :-)
I like Diamine Green-Black a lot, it's a classic. When I give a pen to someone this ink is with it...

The latest is the lovely wartime brown-striated Sheaffer Crest Vac-Fill with gold-filled cap (between the Triumph on the left and the Valiant on the right). I've been making a foray into Sheaffer plunger pens with Triumph-style nibs from the '40s.

Its first fill is Omas Sepia ink.
