That one's lovely - did you get it from Rick or nibs.com?
    Thanks, Jon.

I got it from Rick. It’s probably from nibs.com originally. The grind looks like Mottishaw’s handiwork.

I saw him writing elsewhere (slack?) that his table was right across from Nibs - One-Stop Nakaya Shopping Aisle!

Pretty pen and a lovely setting of it. Within the last 3 months I restored both a Standard and Premier (OS) in this material and hardware. The grey striated is so suave. Congrats!

Yes, stout is a good description of the Pelikan 100 family.
The barrel dimension is chunky enough to be very comfortable when writing. And if you need more length, you can post the cap securely.

My all-time favorite model from Pelikan.

A bunch of ( 4 Pens ) of Sheaffer no-nonsense Calligraphy pen is coming my way. I already have these pens. Good Vintage writers with steel nibs.

I had to say no to the SF Pen Show, but I was grateful that my old friend Teri Morris of @peytonstreetpens graciously did a sale to me remotely. I've been in love with the Sheaffer OS Balances, especially lever models. I now finally have a really nice Premier model in Rose Glow, a color only available 1936-38.

Sadly, I have only rank amateur photo gear (phone and a rinky-dink light box) but these pics come kinda close. Wonderful fine line, really pretty. Thanks, Teri!

"All the pens in that tray are 5 euros"
I'll have this one, then! And it writes beautifully, nice smooth medium nib.

Philosophical moment; the more 51s I have, the more I love them. I think that is the mark of a really great pen: you can never have enough.

    What a beauty!
Y'know, part of what I like about the OS Balance model is the lever filler.
Something about the construction of that lever is a notch above standard. Reminds me of what I appreciate about the Conklin ones.
