    Watched again, Full Monty...
It was relevant then, it's relevant now!

    The Iranian film "Close-Up"... riveting.

Endured two horrible Netflix films, both of them, seemed to be commissioned by the Italian tourist commission...
First Toscana, which felt like watching a bad Rom-com made by Ingmar Bergman, the other was Love and Gelato, which was a textbook on how not to transcribe a novel into a movie. Thank god, we have fast forward...

However, saw one excellant British comedy, Laughter from Paradis (19510, with the inimitable Alastair Sim. And I believe it's the first Audrey Hepburn film credit.

No. I meant 1917, which is a WWI movie, but typed 1914.

A comparison of the two Gerard Depardieux films My Father the Hero, and its French predecessor, Mon Pere Ce Heros. Each had its points both good and bad.

Not a movie but I'm currently streaming Amazon Prime "Reacher" season 1 from the Lee Child books. Specifically The Killing Floor book 1. Alan Ritchson is a much better Reacher than Tom Cruise was and I'm finding it really enjoyable.
    Highly recommended.

    How was it?
It was ok. Some parts I really liked including the story and most of the actors, but there were too many songs for me.

I wondered if you were in France. Have you heard of the French movie i mentioned seeing recently, "Yo-Yo"? It was awesome.
I'm not far from you; I'm 30 miles north of Boston. I've been to Montreal only 2-3 times but really loved it.

Belfast directed by Kenneth Branagh (who grew up there.) A complex view of the Troubles, through the eyes of a child.

No, I haven't. Thanks for mentioning it. Access to French films despite living in French speaking city, is not as easy. I often have to source some of the classics from elsewhere. I found a streaming version on internet archive. I'll give it go tonight

I'm currently trawling for a copy of In the Mood for Love by Wong Kar-wai, but it has to be region 4 (unless when I check my old DVD player I find it's region free). No luck so far. One of the best movies of all time in my opinion.
