My son-in-law brought the Blu-ray disc of Black Panther over. I missed it in the theater. It was enjoyable.

Girl, Interrupted. It's supposed to be a minor classic. I had never seen it, but it was on one of the premium channels yesterday afternoon, and what with the "storm" passing over, it was a stay-indoors-and-watch-movies kind of day.

Mission:Impossible Fallout...it was great. I love how he gets dropping information of past people and keeping you updated.

I actually saw the first Rocky movie at a pre-release press screening in LA, where the studio spokesman correctly predicted it would take best picture. I was a film student at the time.Originally Posted by VertOlive

The most recent movie I saw was Casablanca. Hadn't seen it in about five years, but it was the first time for my son. He was reluctant to watch it at first, but ended up completely blown away by it.

That is great! Same with me...except I was the son. My dad talked me into listening to a radio show. I didn’t really want to even bother with it. It was called “The Shadow”. I was hooked!

ELVIS the miniseries. Jonathan Rhys Meyers was outstanding as Elvis. This story stops with the 1968 comeback and does not follow him to the end.
Meyers won a Golden Globe award for his acting; by the end of the flick my 12 yr old had the pelvis thing down perfectly and is working on his own version of Blue Suede Shoes.

The Trouble with Harry, directed by Alfred Hitchcock. I had just recommended it to a UK-based Geek to see autumn foliage in Vermont, and I have the DVD.
Cast includes Shirley MacClaine (her first film), John Forsythe (Bachelor Father and voice in Charlie's Angels), Edmund Gwenn (Miracle on 34th St), Mildred Natwick, Royal Dano and Jerry Mathers (Leave it to Beaver).

Isle of Dogs. Japanese animation, lots of familiar voices, we all put it on our favorite flick list.
