Does shallowness count as a quirk?

Sometimes. In a pond, it's a diving hazard.

Nathan Tardif is a fine fellow.
He produces a great product at a fair price.
And he disabuses the fools who use cartridges pf their superiority.

After I read the last two posts I was almost tempted to change my signature line to make it three in a row....

I have several in pens for quite a while and all is awesome. No complaints at all.

I have one of the worst of all Noodler's ink.... The famous" Baystate Blue Ink". Moreover.. I ended up getting two bottles ( small 3 OZ and the 4.5 Oz) as the seller made a mistake sending a wrong bottle and then send me a free right size Big bottle. Unfortunately I had to mix this ink with some other ink like Sumi and water to make it thinner and minimise feathering. It is very stainy. I am using that to do DRILLS OF MY SCRIPTING.
But I have few of his great inks and there are three more inks I have on my next Ink list.

He's a veritable hype machine in wrapped in Colonial-era affectations. Get some samples so you don't get bonked on an entire bottle. Most of them I've tossed or given away, but I still regularly use Black Swans in Australian Roses, and have for about 10 years, including surviving a couple of years where he changed the formula and ended up with a dreadful ink.

Virtually all of my favorite inks are Noodlers.

I wonder if Noodlers ink is named more for the second definition than the first https://en.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/noodler

No, Lloyd - Noodler's got its name from Tardiff's hobby of "noodling". One of the Goulet/Tardiff videos discusses this. I guess it is quite hazardous, but it is a historical way of fishing for catfish.

I personally have a shelf with 8 noodles inks I totally love and the quality of their inks is hard to beat! The Company's pens seem to garner hatred as they are not meant to be pens for new to fountain pen users.
You need to know how to adjust ink flow with nib placement and stuff like that to be truly happy I have been using fountain pens for over 30 years and totally loved their AHAB pen hehe.
It is not an every day kind of carry kinda pen but has a place in my heart.

I truly love plains of Abraham a blue jeans coloured ink and habanero is a bold and bright orange and it is a beautiful ink! I love how they are water resistant and smudge resistant.
I appreciate that they fill the bottle to the very top too... open a new bottle on a level surface hehe.
