Sorry to necro-post, but I am in need of a True Christmas Red. Good shading, neither pinky nor purply. NO long dry times, no shimmer. Sheen okay but not needed.

Diamine Matador or Sheaffer Red (I think it's now called Inferno) immediately come to mind and both are excellent value.

Diamine Red Dragon, Monaco Red, or maybe the appropriately named Diamine Noel (good shading & sheen) in the cute Blue Edition bottle.
(I often wish I had bought Noel instead of Poinsettia)

Red Dragon
+1
I like the looks of Red Dragon and Matador (once had a sample). I will likely get more Matador, but just now had to go with what I had, and settled temporarily for Monteverde Ruby.

I've been using bright reds for my Xmas cards: Diamine Wild Strawberry and Monteverde Ruby.
I've got a new one: Cult Pens Tammy - a dark red Iridescink
