    Default Spring bulbs!

As promised to Anne, my spring bulbs so far:

First up: the Tulips. Had to protect these newly opened flowers from the 20 degree overnight lows.

These are my little patch of snowdrops that first came up a few weeks ago. All the flowers are gone by now. Bonus: that grassy stuff in the background is saffron, which does surprisingly well in my area.

Last up we have bulbs that I wasn't aware existed until they started coming up along the walkway (didn't live in this place last spring).

    Hooray bulbs!

Nice. Yellow tulips are my favorite! (The $@#% squirrels behead any red ones). We also had the snowdrops, and now some little blue flowers, and daffodils.
My other pen is a Montblanc.

And my other blog is a tumblr!

And my latest ebook, for spooky wintery reading:

    So far no squirrels...

The snowdrops were experimental. It's pretty dry where I live, but I'm along a "riperian" area. A term I use loosely, because the water only really moves through the area if there has recently been rain. There does seem to be marginally more water, though. The bulbs survived despite a dry winter. Impressive to say the least.

Click bait. I thought this had to do with some new type of efficient light bulb.

    Hooray bulbs!
We had this issue for multiple years. Bought the house in March and that first year we got to see what was in the garden. We cleared out most of it and planted new stuff. For the next three years we'd get new bulbs / flowers popping up which weren't there before.
