When I saw Pterodactylus post above, I though that this was possibly too "wishy washy" an ink for me, as I like an ink to stand boldly off the page. I was therefore very surprised and encouraged by how much bolder the ink seemed to be here - but it very much depends how much you sling down on the page. I prefer wet writers, and my Wing Sung 6359 put down a considerably bolder line than using a Parker Vector as a dip pen. This is a fun ink, and I like it a lot more than I expected. The paper here is Pukka Pad 80gsm.

I don't have the penmanship of a lot of you, so you'll have to settle for me just faffing around like this Being a clumsy arse, I managed to get quite a bit of ink on my hands doing this, but when it dried it washed off very easily indeed, so I wouldn't expect much in the way of colour fastness.

Thank you for giving me a chance to try this out, Scooby. I'm looking forward to the reveal. I'm not going to be taking guesses myself, as I'm pretty clueless with inks.

Ok, here we go with the next sample.

Mystery Ink #17 Crow by Ptero Pterodactylus, auf Flickr

(Dip Nib, Brush .....Mystery Ink #17 provided by Scooby921)

Interesting, in opposite to Wuddus I had the impression that it resists on skin quite well.
I could not wash it from my fingers with ordinary soap (I have to admit that it already dried completely on my fingers, cleaned my fingers when I was done with the drawing), I had to take Reduran to get rid of it.

It has not really water resistance, it plays quite well with water when washing it.

When I dipped the brush I used the first time into my glass of water i was surprised how it colored it.
With this one brush dip the used water became a color itself which was clearly visible on paper when dipping into it.
So I think the dye load or the dye coloring strength in this ink is quite high.

On this Arteza watercolor paper with 300g/m2 it behaved really well, but this was expected on watercolor paper.

Well I was going to post my drawings but the one above is so good I might wait until tomorrow when maybe someone else may have put something up in between us I've done several drawings but my nib is Xxxf so I'm still formulating my opinion, I'd like to try it on a broader nib too given the reviews already posted

I got my sample late this afternoon. I inked up the pen with it, and wrote a little. So far I like it. I will try to have something to post soon.

No real idea what this is: will have a guess once a few more participant posts are up.

Found the ink to feel quite dry in a broad italic pen. Works well with a brush and a little water though!

As can be seen in my sketch, the orange is considerably darker (toward red-brown) when laid on thick, much lighter when writing. The pen is not a gusher though, so it may look a lot different in one that is.

    As always great work EoC.

Thanks Suzy, but I also always enjoy yours and think: Wowwww.
    Canīt wait to see yours.

Here is another one I made.

The Mystery ink #17 is for sure a very well behaving ink which also has moderate shading.
I see no weak spots, the color is of course always depending on the personal taste.
It writes nice and pleasing, despite it is orange it is really good to read on paper.

    I really like #17.

Itīs not such an awesome shader like #16 and has no sheen, but regarding that #16 was really exceptional, not all inks can have this (or maybe even should have it).

Btw. I bought Crystal Planet in the meanwhile, together with some other Colorverse inks, just couldnīt resist too long...... #16 was too good to not have it in the arsenal.

I wrote with my pen more last night, but it isn't good enough writing to post. Today I've been gone most of the day. I will try to get my offering out tomorrow. I think I MAY know what this ink is, but then again I could be very wrong. I can't wait to find out what it is for sure.

There is nothing like “isn’t good enough writing to post”.
    We want to see it.
We all have plenty of room to improve, are at different stages towards the road called improvement, but this does not matter. In my experience, posting stuff regularly can be a good motivation to try to improve.

Correct. Also, I have not yet seen anyone post in the MI threads with poorer hand writing than my own. I will try to get my own writing / review photographed and posted sooner than later. Been working on it for several weeks now...advantage of being the one sending out the inks

Maybe it's my eyes, but the ink seems more of a brown on the page here, than the orange that some of you seem to be showing. Perhaps the British weather made my ink go rusty Some of the lighter unshaded lines are orange here, but I'm predominantly getting brown. A very interesting spectrum with this ink.

I'd call it "rust". My writing samples / review is much less vivid. Perhaps it's the lighting at my desk.

Thank you and Scooby for your thoughts. Some days my handwriting is better than other days. If I write something decent, I'm happier. I have hand tremors, and it is never at the same level from one day to the next. It is legible, and that is the main thing. I will see what I can do today, thanks for the encouragement to both of you.

Yes. Click "go advanced" to the bottom right of where you normally type, then click "manage attachments" below the text box, and follow the instructions.

Or if you use one of the web hosting sites for pictures such as imgur or flickr, you can embed from there too.

I wanted the first photo to go in the #2 position, but this will have to work. I used an XF nib, and a stub. I did not feel as much lubrication as I like, but overall a great performance. I think a wetter nib is preferable with this ink, without a doubt. Oh my, I just realized I missed a few words on the first quote. The second page has the complete quote. I wanted to do it in cursive and then print.
    My guess is GvFC-Burned Orange.

Sorry the photos are a bit ropey. I'm still not sure what to make if this ink, I was surprised but its consistency in my pen,all the others I've tried coated the pen barrel nicely with colour but as you see from my pic this refused to, sort of greasy consistency maybe? I wondered if maybe I'd just not cleaned out my pen well enough and there was some sort of reaction going on? The colour seemed much lighter than I was expecting (so my pen was clear because previously it had black in it), I was sort of expecting a a sepia colour considering what it looks like in the bottle. The first few drawings I did seemed very orange but with a heavier hand or multiple layers it could appear browner. I loved it with a bit if water added across it (as in the life drawing nude). It had no water resistance whatsoever which was preferable for blending as I was. It didn't seem to feather or anything whatever paper I used. I've only used it with an Xxxf nib so far, when I go back to work weds I'd like to try it with a wider nib. It didn't skip or anything but it didn't go down as smoothly as others I've used (MI15&16 for example). I'll continue with it weds and post again, I didn't have as much drawing time recently because I've been at home.
