Does anyone recognize the model of this old Sheaffer? I found it on eBay and LOVE it, but don't know what it is, or how old. I'd love to find a backup just like it!

It's a 1930s era non Lifetime Balance.

To clarify, a Sheaffer Balance, but one a couple tiers below the lofty "Lifetime" (White Dot) line. Same construction, more humble nib and trim.

Thanks, David, I have a LOT to learn. I'd noticed some pens with the white dot, but no idea what that meant...yes, I do see that the nib is humbler, as you say! But for my purposes, it makes wonderful lines...that's what I used for this sketch.

All those old Sheaffer Lifetime and Feathertouch open nibs were great - whetherfrom White Dot or Balance. If anything, I prefer the Feathertouch nibs.
