Show off your pencils. Mechanical or wood case. It doesn’t matter.

So are you usung them yet? If so how are you liking them? I saw where they are making a desk set and the one I saw had three different styles/models in it. Very nice with a nicer price tag of $150.00, which was tempting.
0.5mm vs 0.7mm graphite sizes is much like 9mm vs 45acp...they both work if you know what you are doing. - me

Looking for Caran d'Ache Type 55 2mm set and Rotation .7 pencils.

sharpening results, caused because of different pencil qualities and different sharpeners.

Mechanical pencils I've gathered over the years since they were my primary writing instruments since high school (well, I've lost those I used in high school and college).

Nothing special, really since most can be bought at stationary stores but I love my Pentel Kerry! Been my go-to mechanical pencil for 3 years.

So far this is what I have...

Top to bottom: Sheaffer Balance, Wearever, Eversharp Skyline, Zebra M-301, and Wahl Ringtop.

I've used the Zebras for years. The other pencils are part of FP sets.

During college (engineering degree) I used budget mechanical pencils almost exclusively including a Pentel Sharp Automatic (or whatever they were called in the early 90s). I wished I could remember the other brands.

Somewhere around here I have a beat up clutch pencil too. Edit: ah yes, Koh-i-noor Technigraph 5611...

Two of them are Stratford, the others are no-name. I'm partial to colorful, old, celluloid fountain pens too.

Despite being a true red ripple, this pencil doesn't appear to be by Waterman. It's quite large at 12.4cm. It was made in England but carries no manufacturer information. There is a patent number but it's a general one that applies to many different makes of mechanicl pencil.

When I bought the I thought they we’re gimmicky because of the black wood. I was wrong. They sharpen well. The wood stays nice and smooth and they look pretty good.

I just love picture threads! Although I am a Fountain pen collector (and user) I also am a hard core pencil user. Here comes my pencils:

    modern mechanical pencils:

    modern and vintage leadholder:
    Fallminenstifte by C.M.Z, auf Flickr

    vintage propelling pencils:
Drehbleistifte alt by C.M.Z, auf Flickr

    vintage mechanical pencils:

but for daily use, I like wooden penilcs of premium quality most:
Bleistifte Kasten by c_m_z, auf Flickr

...and I use them until the last centimeters!
    Bleistiftverlängerer by C.M.Z, auf Flickr

but the best thing happend, when I had the occasion to photograph three collections of vintage Caran d'Ache Fixpencil leadholders at one time:

and last but not least, I like drawing with my pencils!
