Waterman Lady Agathe

Waterman Lady Agathe (late 1990's), an
unusual model with a small fountain pen and a matching cylindrical carrying
tube. The gorgeous material is Galalith, a milk protein based resin similar to
casein.

This is the "Magenta and Green" model with gold trim. The pen is in excellent
condition, almost near mint, with all of the plating intact and no nicks or
visible scratches on the pen or the case. The resin is luminous and the colours
really pop out. This is an eyecatching pen, no doubt.

The 18k nib is a <F> and is a lovely, soft, exceptionally smooth writer. The pen takes
short cartridges, and can also use the Monteverde mini converter.

That is quite a lovely ensemble. I don't recall seeing a pen w/ matching hard carrying case before.

It's an interesting design, but I can see why it never took off: you could probably make at least three pens from all that resin...

Those are lovely little pens. I have one agathe (which came without its box) and several Lady Elsas. The nibs are super, nice and bouncy and juicy. As pocket pens these work nicely.
