Default Amateur Ink Review: Colorverse Gluon ink

    Colorverse Gluon/Photon ink set!
I bought these from the Hippo Noto website. They currently have a sale on Colorverse inks, so I bought a few. It's not boldly advertised, but right now they're cheaper than anywhere else.

I really wanted to try the “glistening” Gluon ink, so I opened up that bottle first and laid it down on a variety of different paper: The Hippo Noto cream colored book, a Rhodia pad, a Clairfontaine notebook, and some Apica.

The ink performed fairly consistently across all the paper types, with intense light and dark green shading, and a sort of lavender-pink colored glisten. It’s marketed as a “glistening” ink instead of shimmering, but you get the idea

Tried to show the ink in natural indirect daylight, as well as under some desk lamps.

The stickers are pretty useful for labeling which Colorverse inks are in which pen. But feel free to use your imagination in their usage!

Here is a YouTube video of me writing with the ink in the Hippo Noto book:

Thanks for the review and the pictures. I had no idea this brand even existed.

    Thanks for the review.

But I have to admit that it almost hurts me physically to see how hard you smashed the poor nib down.
I almost heard it begging for mercy..... I doubt that it will survive such treatment on the long run.

And as a side note, you will get fine scratch marks on the gold if you move it on the paper to distribute the ink.....

The color reminds me a lot of Platinum Citrus Black (minus the glimmery bits) which I like. I haven't found a pen that works well with Citrus Black yet (too dry even for my wet writers) so maybe I'll give Giuon a try.

Very interesting colour, but not one I think I'd find use for.

Thanks for taking the time to review it.

I see your point. I'll try to be more gentle in the future, and use something else to spread the ink other than the nib.

I was going to use this or personal writing, and bullet journaling. Basically personal and pleasure writing. But the next day I went into work, I had forgotten the pen case with my inked up pens. The pen case I had on me was full of my empties, and also this one pen that had the Gluon ink. Using this ink to get through a work day was actually not bad. On first glance, the ink looks unassuming enough, but on second look you can see the "glisten" to it. I had the moment where you know it's for business, but smirked a little because I snuck away with using special ink, lol
