Somehow your username (if it is the same as on FPN) jogged my memory that you have at one point posted photos of some rare vintage Kaweco's, is that remotely right?

    Gorgeous photos, btw.
Yes it was me who posted at the Kaweco's section on FPN...

Very nice. Now I have a chance to say thank you for those photos.

Did you acquire more rare Kaweco pens since then?

Not yet, I hope I will next year when pen shows start again, specially those I attend...

This stock image was attached to an ABA email newsletter story about a jury award of $1 against police for snatching a pen out of the hand of an individual. The facts of the case aren't all that interesting, but I thought the image is striking. I presume the aerosol ink effect was created in someone's head with the assistance of Photoshop or the like.

...or the nib was scratchy as hell. At least I have seen (and used) nibs that create a speckled area next to the line when writing fast.

    Unusual and beautiful photo.

You made me miss the lack of harsh highlights and the subtle details of film, Jens

That is a lovely, ghostly image, Jens. I especially appreciate the generous-sized hearts on those nibs. Nib craftsmanship at it's finest.

Even though I no longer use film, your image inspires me to try to achieve some different effects in my digital pen photography.

    Thanks, Jon,

indeed. MT made very nice hearts. The nibs are a dream, no matter if made in the US in 1900 or english from 1950...

    Dear Eachan,

I use both, modern and vintage cameras for film (24x36mm to 4x5" large format, often b&w) and a DSLR for movies and when many shots are to be made.
Feel free to show some results then...

    Best wishes

    LOL! Maybe you can.

My bad scans just make my film image looks like my bad digital ones.
