Pens at Five Below

I went into Five Below to get a set of earbuds and happened to see these. They are of course Lamy Safari knockoffs but what they hey. I have enjoyed the hobby for a couple of years on budget pens. ( Although I'm now moving up to more expensive pens.)

I'm going to give them a cleaning first. If you have a Five Below near you and want some knock around pens these might be worth checking out.

I had never heard of Five Below stores, and guessed that this would be a thread about pens writing in the cold. But some googling quickly showed that there are 13 of these stores in my state.

Although I can't say I'm tempted, it's encouraging to see fountain pens in general merchandise type stores. Did they carry ink, too?

Doesn´t the ink freeze

I opened them last night. They are cartridge fill only. Standard international converters don't fit. I'm going to break the cartridge open and drain the ink to put in some other color.
