Default Portable Budget 5-slot Pen Stand

For your pen-displaying and -organizing enjoyment is my portable budget pen stand that holds five pens horizontally.

Each side piece, designed by yours truly, is 3d-printed using PLA filament while the removable, friction fit crossmembers are precision machined from of Delrin plastic.

The assembled stand measures approximately 3" (7.5cm) wide, 4" (10cm) long and 1-1/4" (3cm) tall and is narrow enough to accommodate even small pens like my 3-1/2" (9cm) Wahl Ringtop. The stand should handle pens of any reasonable girth.

Cost is $15 shipped to US addresses, +$6 to Canada, and +$11 elsewhere. Payment via PayPal goods & services.

Ooh, great idea. I won't ask you for the STL, of course! :-)

May I suggest offsetting the heights of the slots? For example, the middle one could be higher, or you can have them cascading down. Check your extrusion or speed settings for the top layers.
Can you print in other colours?

    Nice job!

Thanks. I also have two pair of end pieces in blue at the moment and may add colors if there is a demand.

Like the Model-T, the crossmembers can be had in any color-- as long as it's black.

Congrats for crossing over to the vendor side.

I have two suggestions for you, seeing the product:

    1. Line the curved "bed" where the pens will rest with good quality felt. That will instantly upgrade the look of the stand (red for luxury, green for classy).

    2. Experiment with lacquering technique that will add richness to the finish.

These are of course merely suggestions, feel free to ignore

Are you still making these? I'd like one or two.
