Yeah, I'm researching the barrel. I am familiar with the long and short window versions, but the full amber barrel is a bit of a mystery to me.

I'll post here when I find some info on it.

Purchased online from Japan is my latest Montblanc acquisition. It is a 149 circa 1970s. Overall condition is excellent and writing quality of the nib is perfect for me. Nib grade sticker still attached to the barrel. Nib is 14C two-tone. Extra Fine nib. Feed is round ebonite and without any grooves. Barrel is single unit. This 1970s 149 replaces the 2019 149 Calligraphy Flex I purchased new and just did not bond with. My thanks to all those who post and share their Montblanc knowledge, especially the experts like Barry Gabay. The sketch is done in Montblanc JFK navy blue and drawn on unbranded vintage handmade paper, deckle edged.
